More importantly, what about that fox?

Firefox was never meant to be a fox:it was originally meant to be aphoenix.

Problem !!

Phoenix is a popular moniker in justabout every sector, includingtechnology.

Thus it became Firebird

Again Problem !!

Firebird is the name of an opensource database server.

Hence the name Firefox finalized.

But why Firefox?

Its now well known that a firefox is an incredibly cute red panda.

But sadly, No secret reason it has the name Firefox.

Firefox was simply a safe, unique, cool-sounding option, for Firebird.

December 2010 Mozilla adopted twored pandas at Knoxville Zoo,Tennessee, To spread awarness abouttheir conservation.
