Many people who get into Online Marketing start to struggle and complain as they wonder why they can’t sell theirproducts on the internet. There are many variables for succeeding in online marketing, and I’m here to share withyou five of the most important aspects of online marketing.
The first aspect is to understand how you are going to market on the internet. This means that you must choose achannel of marketing such as Google AdWords, Bing ads, Social Media Marketing etc. Stick with one or twochannels and master them so that you will become better than 99% of the people marketing on the same channel.You must also understand who you are going to be marketing to on that channel. Carry out some research into youraudience online so that you are talking to the right people.
The second aspect is to develop your website, as it is the home to your business. People can find your websitethrough so many different means, such as through search engines, social media, adverts, word of mouth etc. Is itimportant to keep your website updated with the most recent information, including what your business is about andthe products and services that you offer.
The third aspect is to build an email list of subscribers so that you can continue to communicate with your audience.You can build an email list by providing the ability for users to enter their email addresses on your website so thatthey can receive information from you at later dates. It is very important to focus on building your list at the beginningstages of marketing online because you must understand that a subscriber is a ‘subscriber for life’, and they canpurchase from you at any time of date.
The fourth aspect it to continue to provide value to your audience including your email list. Providing value meansthat you offer some kind of information or product that is of value to a person, so that they feel they benefit from whatyou have to offer, and that they can start to connect and trust with you. For instance you could publish articles,

provide a free report, free e-book, videos etc. The more value you provide, the more likely someone is to purchasefrom you at a later stage.
The fifth aspect is providing ‘higher end products’. These products are usually on the higher end of the price scale,and they should be included into your ‘product line’, as customers may want more after they have purchased one ortwo products from you. It is also more likely that a customer that has already purchased a product from you willpurchase a higher end product, then it is to have a new customer purchase a product from you for the first time.
So these are 5 of the most important aspects of online marketing:
1. Mastering your chosen marketing channels and advertising to the right people.
2. Developing and updating your website
3. Building your email subscriber list
4. Continuing to provide value to your list
5. Offering higher end products
