CONWAY MEMORIAL LECTURE. Our readers will be glad to learn that at Professor Julian Huxley's Lecture on

October 1, Sir Arthur Keith has kindly consented to take the chair. Sir Arthur's own contribution to this annual series, "The Religion of a Darw~nist," was given in 1925 and was greatly appreciated. It is now out of print.

Professor Huxley has definitely chosen as the title of the 1930 lecture: " Science, Religion and Human Nature."

Brief notes on the life-work of these two eminent biologists will appear in a later issue.

T. EUST ACE BARRALET. It is with deep regret that we record the death of Mr. T. Eustaoe Barralet, from

heart failure, on July 11, at Worthing. Mr. Barralet 'bad, for many years, been connected with South Place, chiefly on its social and musical sides-he joined the Easter and Whitsuntide Co-operative Holidays, to the Isle of Wight and Ashdown Forest, many times and attended the Ramblers' Dances at Armfield's Hotel for several seasons. He was conductor of the South Place Orchestra from 1900 to 1909 and only resigned because he was leaving London. He still retained his interest in music and was a capable viola player. Last Easter he took part in the concert at Ryde Town Hall, given by the South Place Ramblers for the Isle of Wight County Hospital. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Barralet and the members of his family.
