Introduction• In my opinion Ayurveda is great science

which see the glory along with ancient sciences.

• This presentation is not an Inspirational but- I feel it may be Rational.

• I want to present the picture of an Ayurvedist ever think.

• This is meant for those who love Ayurveda and live for Ayurveda.

About Ayurveda past• The journey begins with Lord Brahma who is

real father of Ayurveda which is in 1000chapters -1lakh slokas.

• Which sounds awesome , after that the paramparas starts- they finally divided in ‘2’ one go with Medicine and other one with surgery.

• Here a question arises -in Bhrihatrai the Acharyas had mentioned they are writing their samhitas for those who are poor in their memory and intelligence-(cont.)

Page 5: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• An exception is given by them for intelligent with good memory who have the capacity of Reasoning to learn and interpret like them.

• Which we can suspect that the Ayurveda Samhita written by Lord Brahma is available to them.

• In another way we negotiated towards Adharvana Veda by telling Ayurveda is a Upaveda of it .

• If Ayurveda is really an Upaveda to Adharvana Veda, the mere existence of Ayurveda is also expected , why because the Adharvana Veda is still available now.

Page 6: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• What happened to real treatise – our Indians can memorize ‘4’ Vedas- how they cannot memorize a Upaveda.

• We think Charaka and Susruta samhitas are both sides of a coin of Ayurveda, but the real thing is Ayurveda is in constricted form- merely bifurcated to ‘2’ traditions.

• I always think about it if the Acharyas protect the real Ayurveda for future generations it may give some clues to un answered questions or for better under standing of their constricted form.

Page 7: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• Eg: Vata Pitta Kapha - we want some physical and chemical forms for their better understanding, I think in two ways

• 1. the acharyas know the balancing technique of Vata Pitta Kapha with kshara amla lavana etc materials which are of physical and chemical forms they said its is possible to increase and decrease a condition by using equal and opposite propertied conditions. (samanya and visesha sidhanta)

Page 8: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• 2. the acharyas wanted to measure each and every inch of the body with in its form it may be impossible to measure Vata Pitta Kapha in a particular place and in particular time in the whole body by feeling the same thing they may avoided clear description about Vata Pitta Kapha by only telling functional types of them.

• The Ashtanga Ayurveda is mentioned by Acharyas as specialties of Ayurveda- those are kaya ,bala ,graha, urdwanga ,shalya ,damstra jara, vrisha.

Page 9: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• Here some interesting fact is that Acharya Kashyapa do his work in Child and women health care in priority his treatise is in elaborated form in those branches, Mimi's treatise is best in Urdhvanga chikitsa Susruta also mentioned it in the beginning of Uttara tantra it self like this super specialties also developed in those days –why don’t the specialty books are secured in their full form.

• Like this Ayurvedas past leaves big questions in our minds even in the mind of a common man and a researcher of literature.

Page 10: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• I don’t mentioned time period in any where those are predicted ones.

• Rasa sastra is the 9th branch of Ayurveda.• Because the references are not there in any of

Bhrihatrayee it is entirely different branch in my opinion.

• Due to suppression over surgical procedures -the need is only fulfilled by a fast acting drugs which need less effort for digestion and in small quantity which are basic properties of Rasaushadhas (cont.)

Page 11: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• In this context I am not telling that rasasatra is alternative option for surgery it will help to restrict the condition from further progression in a faster way which we can say prevention of surgical intervention by stopping progression.

• In another way It may be evolved to enhance the potency of the herbal drugs by several folds.

Page 12: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• In support to above two points we also take the great thinking of acharyas Dehavada (Body protection) is better than Lohavada (attain gold with the help of mercury)-that bonding of Ayurveda with Alchemy (paratantra avalokana) .

• Which is a great leap in the history of Ayurveda with strong evidences, I want to say it give a new look to ancient science to go for the future generations.

About Ayurveda present

• If you say Allopathy is modern science I want to start Ayurveda after adding Rasasatra is the starting period of modern Ayurveda.

• The new branches that are evolved are Basic principles, Dravya Guna, Swastha vritta, Bhaishajya kalpana, Roga and vikriti vignana, prasuti and stree roga, Manasa roga, Pancha karma, kshara and vikirana.

Page 14: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• Basic principle department is protector of our ancient treasure and modernize it to current times where we are deficit in past.

• By modernization we can approach a patient according to current time and the data we procure will be very much useful in current and in future front- in one word they are the new hope in literary front just like samhitakaras of past.

Page 15: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• Dravya Guna is the new form of vrikshayurveda but the main concentration is on analysis of drugs in modern parameters , which give active forms into light.

• It has to be updated depending up on the medicinal values of herbs and their availability to control adulteration.

Page 16: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• It has to develop the concepts like universal equality of herbal drugs by identifying active constituents by which the concept of desa jata can be overcomed.

• The drug development depends up on the shoulders of Dravya Guna, Rasasatra and Bhaishajya kalpana individuals.

• The storing techniques and processing techniques in modern way can secure herbs with their potencies for several days by which we can over come wastage of drugs.

Page 17: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• The manufacturing techniques have to be modernized time to time for increased shelf life and increased utility.

• The rasasatric medicines are compared with nano particles and safe which is really a good break to Ayurveda.

• The other clinical branches are to be updated and the investigating modalities are used for getting good results and prove ourselves in scientific front.

Page 18: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• In surgical and radiological branches new techniques has to be encouraged at the same time our potential areas to be protected like Kshara sutra, Thermal and alkali cautery, leech therapy, akshi tarpanam, etc .

• Always the clinicians correlate ayurvedically diagnose d disease to modern medicine which is one way process-several ayurvedically diagnosed diseases are not known as diseases in modern medicine in such cases the patient will be confused with unknown origin or iatrogenic tag –(cont.)

Page 19: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• where we people have lot of scope to treat ,this point is overlooked by current generation doctors which has to be cared for strengthen the scope of treatment which gives pride to Ayurveda.

• Eg: I have seen several unhealed chronic ulcers healed with our treatments.

• Pancha karmas are developed time to time by securing the values and patient needs. we have to procure data scientifically.

Page 20: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

About Ayurveda future• In my opinion future is with them who can

prevent the disease than cure it - ours is the best system in that.

• The new branches for future are Pharmacy(B&M), MBA, Super specialties in clinical branches, Publishing wing , Food technology, Robotic Ayurvedic spas, Dieticians, Pasu Ayurveda (veterinary), Cultivation depend on Ayurvedic parameters, Textile industry for seasonal and radiation resistant cloth production etc……

Page 21: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

Basic needs of Ayurvedic scholar• If you say this is lacuna I will say yes if you

say this is strength I will say yes - this is not real acceptance this is what generations after generations Ayurvedic scholars are doing , don’t forget dear I am one of you.

Page 22: the missing parts of ayurveda by Dr panchajanya kumar .deevi

• try and try see failure show it to your brother definitely you will be prayed by your follower one day- don’t be lazy it will give backwardness to system – think you are also a pillar, work for you it will be useful to system.

• If you have the capacity of reasoning you will be the boss – so read it and think about it carefully.
