Showboat Players for a royal comedy you are sure to adore. Triumph of Love by Pierre Marivaux follows a princess on her quest to return her crown to its rightful owner – the young scholar Agis. But Agis has been taught to loathe and distrust women since birth. By disguising herself as a man, the princess plans to win his trust and restore his crown, but ends up falling completely and hopelessly in love with him. Punctuated by the Showboat’s signature Vaudeville-style musical interludes, this noble adventure of concealed identities, confused affairs, and one confounded love triangle is sure to be the crowning glory of your summer!
