Invite Everyone, Invest In People, Impact Eternity

As you read this, I’ll be nearing the end of a quick mission trip to Wales. Kyle and I are visiting with an IMB church planter there to see if and how we could partner with them

in ways that will benefit what they are doing there and what we are doing here in church planting. Please keep us in your prayers. God’s will is our hearts’ desire. Just another word to encourage Connect Groups to spread out attendance at our 3 Easter services: 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00. We’re praying for 3000 worshipers that day, many of whom do not know Jesus. It’s important that we spread out our attendance so that there is adequate room for people who don’t normally come to church here. Remember, we exist to help them to Jesus: invite, invest, impact. Let’s be servants on Easter even in the matter of attending a service time that may be less convenient for us so that we make room for our guests. Thanks for helping. Lord willing, I’ll be back on Saturday to preach on Sunday as we continue our series, Cross Words. We’ll be looking at Jesus’ last word from the cross: “Father, into your hands I en-trust my spirit.” The suffering is over. Jesus’ work is done. It’s time to go home. Let’s talk about a life of trust on Sunday as we explore this word of Jesus. See you then. Your Pastor, John

Easter is right around the corner, and we are getting so excited to celebrate with all of you! We are praying for the opportunity to welcome more people than ever to our Easter services this year. In the coming weeks, please begin to think about how you can invite the people you live, work, and play with to join us. Please pray for God to open a door for meaningful conversations and receptive hearts. We’re all seeking something. Let’s point those around us to the One who already knows them by name.

We have a need for Teachers and Core Group people to help start some new Connect Groups. Would EVERYONE pray for these please? We need to start a: Nearly and Newly Wed Group at 9:00 a.m. Singles Group at 10:30 a.m. Singles Group for 25-35 at 9:00 a.m. Restart a College & Young 20’s Group at 9:00 a.m. We still need core group people for our new 10:30 a.m. Young Adult Group. Loving Threads If you like to knit, crochet, quilt or sew, the Loving Threads Ministry may be the place for you. The purpose of our group is to use our needlework talents to share the love and com-fort of Jesus Christ with others by making prayer comfort shawls and baby blankets. We meet in RM 131 on the 1st floor, at 1:00 p.m. on the FOURTH Thursday of each month. If you cannot attend the meetings, but would like to partici-pate, call Wanda Thorp, 501-282-3269.
