We’ve made some changes this year. On Wednesday evening, April 25, all ages will meet in the sanctuary to hear from our partner from India. I’m not going to menon his name since this newsleer is online, but you’ll want to be here to meet and hear him. He is engaging. His English is excellent. He translated for me when I was there, and he’s translated for Brent each me he’s been there. He’ll be with us that weekend, so you should get an opportunity to meet him. Two big changes are in the works for this year’s celebraon. First, we are not having the ban- quet on Sunday. Our missionaries are oſten scrambling to get on to their next place and this will give them a head start. Second, Sunday morning will be different. Instead of a first wor- ship service, we will meet both 9:00 and 10:30 Connect Groups in various venues around the church at 9:00 to hear from the missionaries. Your meeng rooms are listed in the Messenger. Then, at 10:30 we will have one combined worship service. The last three years, our mission- aries have expressed a desire to join us in worship but with two Connect Group mes, they couldn’t do it. Anyway, we’re going to see if this works. So be paent and parcipave, and God will bless. Thanks. Please pray for our Honduras team who are about midway through their trip with our long- term partnership in that country. God has truly used FBC-Hot Springs (and the other churches in the partnership to do great kingdom work with the Lenca: souls won, churches planted, school buildings constructed, mission compound built, water lines improved, the hungry fed, Chrisans encouraged. It started with Billy and Bey Capps. So many of our people have been involved in this partnership. Let’s pray God connues to empower Gerardo, Sonia, and the kids as they do kingdom work among the Lenca. Now, one more word on regarding mission: we are so close to reaching our Annie Armstrong goal—just 1000 bucks and change leſt. If you’ve not given, would you prayerfully give a giſt this Sunday. It is a worthy investment in kingdom work across North America. If you’ve given already, thanks for your parcipaon. This Sunday we are keeping company with the resurrected Christ around a breakfast gather- ing at the Sea of Galilee. Jesus gets a lile one on one me with Simon Peter. He asks Simon, “Do you love more than these?” Let’s unpack that on Sunday. See you then. BUDGET REPORT Education / Outreach Ministry

We are trying a little different format for Connect Groups during our Mission Celebration, April 29. I appreciate that you all are pretty flexible and cooperative when trying something new when it has a good purpose. Our pastor and staff support Kyle, our Missionary Pastor in this effort.

By combining Connect Groups together our attend-ers will get to hear form more missionaries with different and varying stories. It will also give us more opportunities to learn about what God is doing in different parts of the world.

In the past the missionaries have spoken in Connect Groups during both hours and were not able to worship. Many missionaries usually worship in homes or small venues and don't get to have a larger cooperate worship experience. By having one worship we allow the missionaries an oppor-tunity to be in worship with our church family. This is so encouraging and uplifting for them. This will allow the whole church together to celebrate what God is doing around the world. So, our schedule on Sunday, April 29 will be: 9:00 A.M. - All Connect Groups 10:30 A.M. - All in one Worship Service We will combine Connect Groups at 9:00 A.M. in this way: Senior Adults - in the Worship Center Median Adults - in the Gym Young and Single Adults in the Fellowship Hall Youth - in the Youth Worship Center Children 3rd - 6th grades-in the Children's Worship Room 208 Children 1st - 2nd grades - in the first grade room 203. Preschool - as usual in regular rooms Thanks for your support of our missionaries.

All Adult Connect Group Leaders Meeting on Sunday, May 6 at

5 P.M.

The basic goals of the Nominating Committee and how it works: *Pray for the Lord’s direction and work in the lives of members to place them as He sees fit. *Encourage all church members to discover their spiritual gifts and complete a Christian Service Survey to find a place to serve the Lord, the church and the community. *Thank current workers on the Servant Leaders List and find out if they will continue. *Help provide names of potential workers to leaders of organizations. *Inform Leaders and committee to confidentially clear names of potential workers with the committee before enlisting to ensure a good match and a manageable spread of responsibilities. *Enlist church members only for Directors and teachers and other critical positions. *Our Insurance Company now recommends that we wait at least 6 months before enlisting new members to work with Birth through Youth age groups to prevent background problems, even if they have a clear background check. Each minister will initiate background checks for their workers with kids. *Our Insurance Company also recommends we have at least two adults in each room with kids as well as two on each vehicle for church trips.
