Surprised by Grace! Several people told me that they almost expect every Sun- day to hear more of God's answers to prayers. It cer- tainly is encourag- ing to hear the many different stories of God moving in peo- ple's lives and in the life of our church family. From his pro- tracted, grace upon grace, provi- sion for our finan- cial needs, to the wonderful amount of rain we received three weeks ago, to Greg Jackson's dad getting saved, to the provision of tables and chairs and a brand-new Isuzu van for our friends in Zambo- anga City who feed street kids, and one of the lo- cal pastors here offering some missions money for a house in Zamboanga City for those kids, it is like God wowing us with who he is and what he does every day. Sarah Limon's tes- timony last Sun- day before she was baptized re- minded me also that Sarah and her family are part of the ripple effect that God started with Jerry Walls and Greg Loudermilk al- most twelve years ago. The Bible study that they had at their place of work was the catalyst for sev- eral people com- ing to know Christ, and Sarah is part of that wave. SATURATION-begins Sept. 14th A Saturation is a short-term mission trip by our students to their high schools to hand out The

Life Book to their classmates. Founded by The Gideons International providing free copies of

the Life Book to help mobilize student missionaries to reach their schools. Our prayer is to

completely Saturate the high schools with God’s Word, which means that each student receives

a copy of the book. Please pray for this mission outreach endeavor.

FMI: www.thelifebook.com

See You At The Pole began with a small group of teenagers in Burleson, Texas at a DiscipleNow

weekend in early 1990. Compelled to pray, they drove to three schools that night, went to the

school flagpoles and prayed for their friends, schools, and leaders. Those students had no idea

how God would use their obedience. Since then SYATP has grown to God-sized proportions with

more than 3 million students from all the world participating in more than 20 countries. This

year students will meet Wednesday, Sept. 28th at 7AM.

Encourage your students to participate.

October 2, 2011 is National Life Chain Sunday. From 2-3PM at The Heights

Baptist Church (4512 Sherwood Way), block after block, a line of Christians from area churches will be seen holding signs with the messages of “Abortion Kills

Children” and “Jesus Heals and Forgives”. It’s called LIFE CHAIN. No laws are broken. It is peaceful, it is silent, and it emphasizes prayer. All that is required is for committed Christians to stand prayerfully for one hour to pray for the unborn babies, their mothers, their fathers, their families, our nation, and all victims of abor-

tion. For more information, contact Suzi Smith at 949-8333. You can make a difference! Don’t be a missing link!
