The Message . . . August 2015 Pastor’s Letter Dear (New) Friends in Christ, Thank you so much for all you have been and continue to do to welcome me into the family of Holy Trinity Church. Thank you for your kind messages, meals, flowers, kind remarks and many offers to help me adjust to life in a new city and as the pastor of this wonderful congregation. Even though I am still unpacking (do a little bit every day!) I am enjoying the many joys of living in a new faith community. One of them will be the opportunity to get to know you all better. What I already know is that individually and collectively, Holy T is blessed with many gifts and talents. You, the People of God, have good hearts. You are seeking new and innovative ways to share your gifts in the building of the Kingdom of Heaven. A pastor couldn't ask for a better opportunity than to serve with such a congregation! I am so excited about the ministry that lies ahead for us. In the coming months, I look forward to helping you lay the groundwork for new ways to reach out to others with God's message of unconditional love. We live in a world where there are aspects of life that can grind away at our hearts and souls. I pray that Holy Trinity Church continues to grow as a safe and holy place- a sanctuary, where all can come and know the love of Christ, safety, and their worthiness as Children of God. I pray that the Holy Spirit then equips us to reach out to the greater community as we share these gifts. God be with us all in this Journey of Faith! Grace and Peace +Pastor Lynda Ernst

Faith Formation

It is almost that time of year again. Summer is winding down. We had a wonderful VBS and now it is time to start planning for our Sunday School year. Look forward to learning more about the stories in the Bible and how those stories can still be used to help guide you every day.

Spark Spirits will start to use skills they are so good at in giving time and talents to both their church and community. There are some fun times are waiting for you as you learn about Jesus and His life!

Rally Day will be on September 20th!

As our church has grown, so has our young children population!! Even though they are always welcome in worship, we want to provide the parents with an opportunity to also have their time of worship. We are looking for adult volunteers! You can volunteer once a month or

every 3 months! It's up to you! If interested, please contact Les Dahl: (615) 927-4514 or [email protected]

THANK YOU to Leslie Dahl and Michelle Janovitz, VBS co-chairs, for

coordinating a fun and faith- filled weekend at "Camp Discovery!"

Also, a big thanks to all of our

volunteers who shared their time and talents during Vacation Bible School.

We couldn’t have done it without YOU!
