For the tire P205/155R16, 205 represent the width and the aspect ratio is 55. To find the height you multiply .55 X 205 X 1/25.4

To find the diameter do 2(4.439) + 16(rim)

To find the circumference multiply pi by 24.878

For tire P215/45R17, 215 represents the width and the aspect ratio is 45. To find the height you multiply .45 X 215 X 1/25.4

To find the diameter Multiply 2(3.8090) + 17(rim)

For the circumference take pi and multiply it by 24.618

Tire P205/55R16 P215/45R17 Width (mm) 205 215 Aspect Ratio (%) 55 45 Height (in) 4.439 3.8090 Diameter (in) 24. 878 24.618 Circumference (in) 78.1565 77.330

77.330/78.1565 = .9894 After 1 rotation, the new tire has traveled .9894

times shorter than the car with factory installed tires.

When the odometer reading is 50,000 (miles) the car has actually traveled 49,470 miles.

How to find it: .9894 x 50,000

When the speedometer is 70, the actual speed is

69.258 How to find it: .9894 x 70

Miles Per Gallon: Miles per gallon with factory tire is 34 MPG

MPG with new tire = 33.6369 How to find it: 34 x .9894
