Prayers for Country and Community
Today we will pray for Vietnam. Population: 89,028,741
9.43% Christian 1.8% Evangelical 52.48% Buddhist
Vietnam is one of the few Communist nations left in the world. Its people suffer with continued oppression and increased social problems such as drug addiction, AIDS, prostitution, and exploitation of children. This land has known great violence and much division among the people. Many ethnic minorities lack the Word of God in
their languages, but praise God, the government recently allowed printing of the Bible in 4 minority languages (including Vietnamese). Pray that the light of the gospel will
banish all darkness and that Christians might clearly proclaim the Truth.
We will also pray for First Baptist Church Gonzales and their Pastor James Law
(1217 S. Burnside Ave., Gonzales, LA 70737) (email: [email protected])
