Already December and 2012 right

around the corner, things are going by way too

fast. Have a look at what you’ve been doing so

far for Key Club and look forward to more

service projects coming up really soon. Also

remember that you don’t have to wait for us to

give you service, look out into your community

and feed the homeless, volunteer at animal

shelters or just a simple cleaning up the area.

Service projects are everywhere!

Once again thank you for responding and

OUR BOARD What are you thankful for and what are

you doing over winter break?

MICHAEL POLIS | VICE PRESIDENT OF SERVICE

CHRISTOPHE KENNEDY | VICE PRESIDENT OF ADMINISTRATION

AILINA LAO | SECRETARY

ANGELENE DIEGO | BULLETIN EDITOR/ HISTORIAN

JAEROLL MONES | SERGANT AT ARMS

VARTAN ALAKHVERDYAN | TREASURER

I am thankful for those who helped me become the person I am, for example, my parents raising me to become a great young man. Also, the friends that influence me to do the right thing, those who set a good example to society and the food for my table. Over the winter break I will either go out with family or spend time with close friends and that one person that is dear to me. Hopefully, if neither are an option I’ll just to choose to stay home like a lion in a cave with internet.

I am thankful for many things in my life but the main ones are the love and support from my family and friends and the opportunities that I have been so blessed with. I am thankful for having the big things such as housing and food; the little things like electronics and my possessions are just a plus one. Over winter break, I will most likely take some time to relax and relieve my stress of school by sleeping and eating. I will also be spending time with my family and friends.

Simply, I am thankful to be living the life that I live, I feel so blessed and thankful for everything and everyone in it. I’m thankful to be surrounded by my loved ones every day, to have opportunities others would wish to have, the support and care that comes from everyone in my life, the warm bed, the roof over my head, and so much more. Whether big or small, I’m thankful for it all. As of my winter break, I look forward to spending the whole break with family. I will be going to Missouri for the first week to visit family, spending time at home with family for Christmas and going to see my dad in California. There’s no better way for me to spend the holidays! Have a happy holiday, Key Clubbers, and don’t forget I’m thankful for each and every one of you as well!

My family is a big part of my life, as well as dance and my Xbox. Without them I wouldn’t be the being I am now, I wouldn’t exist. My sister came over thanksgiving, along with her husband and her child. That child, my nephew, I love him more than anything. He was the reason why my thanksgiving was marvelous. Family, I am thankful for.

I am thankful for everything and everyone good that is in my life right now. My parents and the friends that I know are essential to my great personality. When your life is surrounded by good, honest people, you really can’t go wrong. I’m thankful for my possessions, my good behavior and the opportunities that I have. There are those in this world, who do not have the chances I’ve received and have to make their life better, but maybe those opportunities I can make someone else’s life brighter and that is what Key Club has taught. During winter break I am going to New Orleans to visit my family. I can’t wait!

I’m thankful for being given the opportunity to serve in our Military as a United States Marine. I’m thankful for everyone that has impacted my life and has helped me become the person who I am today. The people who have molded me to become your VP. I am also thankful for everyone in the future who is going to help me get to the places where I need to go to become successful in life. Over my break, I am going to spend time training in the gym as well as work, but let’s not forget family.

ALYSSA SARTI| PRESIDENT This holiday season is more than just peppermint mochas and black Friday deals. It’s time for reflection and thankfulness. I’m thankful for my family especially. They are the ones that are always there for me and they make everything fun! I love them so much! I’m also thankful for school. Without my school I wouldn’t be able to learn, be in Key Club, or cheer! I don’t think I can imagine my life without those! I thank God for the most wonderful things in my life this thanksgiving. During winter break, I’m going to visit my dad in northern California and spend time with my family. I’m so excited to finally relax and enjoy the holidays! I also hope I get some community service in by volunteering at a homeless shelter with my sister Every little thing counts key clubbers, so find this time to put in that community service and have fun!

I am thankful for my family and friends that have helped me when I needed it. And for the people who are in key club that constantly prove who they are and what they can do as one. I am constantly thankful for the little things

What I am thankful for are my loving parents. After all, I wouldn’t have been here at Legacy if it weren’t for my dad. And plus, they’re getting me various items for Christmas because it is a holiday of

that makes my life happy and it’s amazing how every day brings something new and exciting into my life. ~ Ricardo Arzadon, 11

showing thanks. During winter break I will be traveling to Anaheim, California to celebrate the New Year and the anniversary of my grandmothers passing away. ~ Matt Aber, 11

I’m thankful for my family because at the end of the day, that’s all you have. I appreciate every opportunity they’ve handed me on a silver platter. I don’t thank my family, especially my parents enough for their hard work. During

winter break we’re driving to San Diego. It’s a small family reunion that all of us are excited for. I hope all your breaks are worth the wait! ~ Aedrian Aquino, 10

I am thankful for an abundance of things. For my wonderful family and friends but most thankful for my parents, they have been there through all the steps in my life and all my falls. My parents have given me everything I have ever needed and more and for that I am beyond thankful. My winter break is going to be composed of cleaning and I also plan to hang out with my friends. Christmas day I plan to spend time with my family. ~ Alondra Acevedo, 10

I am thankful for God and my religion, without my morals I would be indefinite. My family and beautiful puppy Cindy, my best friends Julissa, Miranda and Selena, because they know everything about me yet love who I am. Also nature because it

is where I am at most peace. I will be going to California for a memorial service. Hope to gain 30 hours of service, attend a Quincenera and catch up on some Christmas shopping! ~ Daniella Molina-Mota, 9

B YEARBOOK PICTURES | December 01, 2011

Being the biggest club at

Legacy High School, over 80

students had brought their club

shirts to pose for a picture for

the yearbook. While getting

such a huge group to fit in the

range of the camera lens, the

key clubbers kept cool and

socialized. As the photo was

about to be taken, members

quickly fixed their hair and

stood with their best posture

and the biggest smiles.

CAMPUS CLEAN UP | November 18, 2011

Earning some service

hours, several key

clubbers met up with

other clubs around the

school to help clean

up the campus. Trash

bags were provided

and the race to attain

the most trash began. As the students made their way from

the football field to the soccer fields and all the way to the

tennis courts, they picked up all the trash and pulled out

weeds as well. Your Way: Campus Clean Up was a great way to

have fun and do something good for the community. Not only

did it provide a cleaner area for the school, it created a bond

between different clubs. As the bags began to become full and

the area looked much better, the volunteers called it a day.

Even though it was a race, the prize was making a difference

for their school.

DCM | December 01, 2011

Throughout the past year, Legacy Key

Club has strived to become recognized

for their hard work and dedication. They

created numerous service projects to

provide their members with and

received many hours. For the month of

November, Legacy Key Club was

recognized for Club of the Month of D28

North. The work has paid off and they

had attained a spirit stick to showcase it.

RECAP Through the fun of community service

and dedication of members

CAN FOOD DRIVE | November 18, 2011

A As the Fall Rally

preparation of learning

cheers goes on, some

student who aren’t

attending stay back to

help collect the food

cans from every room.

They also packaged

them into the right

boxes. At the end of the

day, the total of cans

exceeded 1,050.

BLOOD DRIVE | November 09, 2011

M Many students of Legacy High

School had volunteered to donate

blood. Key Club volunteered to

help sign students in, provide

them with water and food as well

as being there to watch over those

in need of assistance. The number

of donators was amazingly high

and we will be holding another

one in spring, but for two days

instead of one. We exceeded our

goal by providing 125 units.

FAVORITE SERVICE PROJECT

F Fall Rally which was held at Six Flags: Magic

Mountain in California was a sight to see. Bringing

in thousands of key club members into one

amusement park to raise money by auctioning off

their Lieutenant Governors and showing off their

division through their divisional t-shirts and

cheering equipment such as pom-poms was quite

amazing.

The rush of energy and excitement running

through everyone waiting to get on the bus to fall

rally at 3 am was no surprise. Cheers and laughter

were still heard in the cafeteria of Del Sol High

School and followed along by the piles of pillows

and snacks for the five hour bus ride.

Representing Division 28 North, the

phoenixes made it to the final round taking second

place. After the dismissal, everyone scattered

through the amusement park to have some fun.
