He is aching to flee the past that still haunts him; his goal to escape from society and life itself. It appears Tom finally finds solace in both when he takes a job as the lighthouse keeper on a small deserted island far from the shores of western Australia. While on his way to seek the position Tom has a fleeting encounter with a mysterious young woman standing on the ocean bluffs tossing bread crumbs into the air for the gulls to feed upon. A short time later while dining at the home of the Graysmark’s, a local family, Tom come face to face with his mystery woman, Isabel (Alicia Vikander), their daughter. A bond between the two is formed; a connection that leads to love, marriage, and all the mysteries that life has in store. The Light Between Oceans is a drama, romance rated PG-13, it’s about the pain and suffering of lost lives, both past and present; enduring love, deceit, and the betrayal of faith. The Light Between Oceans will truly test your emotions, it’s definitely worth the view, and the cinematography is breathtaking. Sully - January 15, 2009 is the day Ameri- ca and the world first came to know the pilot known simply as Sully, unless of course you were too young at the time to remember. On that day Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) became an American hero when he and co-pilot, Jeff Skiles (Aaron Eckhart) glided their crippled passenger jet to a successful water landing on the Hudson River in New York City that became known as “Miracle on Hudson,” saving all 155 lives on board their US Airways flight 1549. What you don’t know is the story behind Sully that began both years before and immediately after this miracle. If you think saving the lives of all 155 people on board that airplane is all that mattered, think again! Those in charge of the investigation into the “crash” have a different opinion and the data to prove that you could have and should have returned the passengers and airplane safely to the airport. Sully is a biography, drama movie directed by Clint Eastwood and is rated PG-13. This is a must see movie which provides you with the opportunity to truly go behind the scenes and under- stand the significance of that faithful chilly winter day, its aftermath, and the story behind the story of Sully.
