JUNE 2013
FINALLY WARM WEATHER WHICH MEANS… TIME FOR OUTDOOR WORSHIP
I’m sure there were times this past winter when none of us felt it would ever be warm enough to worship outside, but that’s why the Lord made summer so we could all forget about those cold Ohio winters. With that in mind early worship will move outside to the pavilion beginning on Sunday morning, June 2. Unless there is some sort of severe weather, outdoor worship will take place through Labor Day weekend, September 1.
So remember outdoor worship will begin at 8:30 a.m. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs.
When we worship outside the atmosphere is a little more relaxed, thus allowing for a little more casual dress in case you are headed to a picnic or other event (shorts are acceptable).
Worship schedule will be as follows: 8:30 a.m. Early Outdoor Worship in pavilion
No summer Sunday School 10:00 a.m. Late Worship in sanctuary
DON’T FORGET THE NEW THURSDAY EVENING WORSHIP SERVICE which begins on
Thursday, June 6. Social time at 6 p.m.; Worship at 6:30 p.m.
DON’T FORGET GOD’S CHURCH
With summer coming and everyone thinking about all the fun things and vacations they plan to be involved in don’t forget God’s work continues
while you’re away. So before you take off for those great times remember to drop off or send your pledge to the church. God’s work
never ends.
Have fun and be safe wherever you go or whatever you do. Thanks in advance.
FIRST FRIDAY’S ARE BACK! (With a new idea)
We are excited to have first Friday events back! We are making a change to make it a first weekend event. There will be a family event for everyone sometime the first weekend of each month.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday June 8 at 2 p.m.. There will be a picnic and cookout at the home of RJ and Karen Wonsick. Meat and pie iron goodies will be provided. Please bring a side dish and snacks. If you have any questions please see RJ, Karen, Kristy, or Katie.

BLESSINGS TO OUR 2013 CONFIRMANDS
Confirmation was held at Holy Trinity on Sunday morning, May 19th during the Early Worship Service. We had 3 young ladies who renewed their Baptismal vows and became full participating members of the congregation. These young ladies are:
Brooke Denning, daughter of Linda and Troy Denning. Montana Martin, daughter of Cheryl Martin and John Martin. Kathryn Newsom, granddaughter of Nancy & Jon Ramsey.
May your journey with the Lord continue as you live and grow in His grace.
A reception, hosted by the Fellowship Committee, was held in their honor followed Early Worship.
TIME TO PLANT GERANIUM S & CLEAN UP FLOWER BEDS
Now that spring has sprung it’s time to get outside the church and spruce up the flowers beds, weeding and mulching. We will also plant all those beautiful geraniums given by members on Pentecost Sunday. If you have some time on Saturday morning, May 25th at 9a.m. we’d appreciate having your help. Just meet at the church and we’ll find something for you to do. If you have any questions
check with Alice Schuler or Waid Spidell.
PLEASE BRING: All you need to bring, besides yourself, are your favorite digger, shovel, rake and maybe a bucket to help get the job done. (put your name on your tools in case you forget them and we can help them get home)
There will be some goodies to munch on and coffee to drink.

LCW news:
The LCW held their annual "Spring Luncheon" on Saturday May 4th with 43 persons in attendance. A delicious covered dish dinner was served and the Washington High School Washingtonians provided an entertaining program of song and dance.
Included in this newsletter (the e-mail version) is a "Campership Calendar" for the congregation’s participation. (You may pick up one in the narthex also). It's a fun way to contribute to the camperships given to Holy Trinity youth who wish to attend LOMO camps this summer. All money collected from these calendars will be given to camperships. LCW has given $100.00 to each youth attending a full week of camp and $50.00 to those attending a mini-week. Youth are asked to turn a copy of their camp registration form into Wanda
Britton or any LCW member to receive compensation.
The next planned event for the LCW will be the "Lincoln Hi-Way Yard Sale", August 8,9,10. This sale takes place across the country on the Lincoln Highway, the first paved U.S. highway, which runs from coast to coast. Anyone can set up retail space on the churches front lawn. Fees are $10.00 per day or $25.00 for all three days. Each vendor will provide their own tables/displays/shade tent. An application can be picked up in the church office or by contacting Kay Burkett(330-832-7173).This is a perfect time to clean out your basement or garage, come join the fun, and make some money by getting rid of all those things you have "saved" over the years. A lunch stand will be available. The LCW will be asking for some food donations and volunteers to work a 2 hr. shift serving food.
There will be no LCW meeting in June. The next meeting will be July 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Respectfully, Kay Burkett
THANK YOU FOR CARING
To our Church Family, Thank you so much for the cards, prayers and food brought to us. Thanks also to Pastor Chip for his visits. God bless, Leland and Wanda Britton
