Workshop Description: In this session, participants will identify and discuss five practices of effective leadership based on research by Kouzes and Posner. Dr. Aaron Brown draws on his own leadership experience and highlights strategies to show how they can be put to use every day at CWU. Along the way, Dr. Brown will bust some of the biggest leadership myths thwarting workplace productivity and well-being.

Bio: Aaron Brown holds a PhD in Public Affairs from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a MA in Organizational Psychology from Antioch University, Seattle, and a BA in Psychology from Eastern Washington University. He has over 15 years of leadership experience in higher education, including work as a Faculty Senator, Director of Student Support Programs, and Principal Investigator for Grants. Dr. Brown is a founding board member and past president of the Washington State TRIO Association.
