The Last Day

When Jesus comes and we are glorified!

Raised Up-Last Day

• John 6:39, “And this is the will of him who sent me, that I will lose none that he has given me, but will raise them up on the last day.” (See also Jn. 6:40, 44, +54.)

• Dan. 12:13, “As for you, go your way until the end; you will rest, and at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”

Time No Longer

• Rev. 10:6 (KJV), “And sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.”

• At 7th trumpet, 6th seal, second coming and rapture will be the literal last day.

Sun/Moon Stop

• Habakkuk 3:11, “Sun and moon stood still in the heavens at the glint of your flying arrows, at the lightening of your flashing spear. In wrath you strode through the earth.”

• Luke 21:25-26, “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea…heavenly bodies will be shaken.”

Glorified-Last Day

• 1 Pet. 1:5, “who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”

• Col 3:4, “When Christ, who is your life appears, then you will appear with him in glory.”

• 1 Jn. 3:2b, “But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”

Crown-Last Day

• 1 Thess. 2:19, “For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes?”

• 2 Tim. 4:8, “Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

Blameless-Last Day

• 1 Cor. 1:8, “He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

• Phil 1:9-10, “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.”

Boasting-Last Day

• Phil 2:14-16, “Do everything without arguing or complaining, so that you may become blameless and pure children of God, without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars of the universe as you hold out the word of life in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.”

Last Day Summary

• At the second coming of Christ/rapture.• Last day as we know it-we’re in eternity.• Last day as earth dwellers know it, as the

sun and moon stop rotating.• Day of great glory for the saints and

something to hope for and persevere for.• A pretribulation rapture would not occur on

the “last day” and we would be glorified 7 years earlier- a contradiction of scripture.
