The Journey to the Empty Tomb

Introduction

Hello and welcome to “The Journey to the Empty Tomb”. This a 47 Day

Devotional that takes us from what is traditionally called Ash Wednesday

(February17th) all the way through Easter which is Resurrection Sunday (April

4th). Each day you will find a suggested Scriptures reading and a written prayer in

both English and Spanish. It is our hope and prayer that this devotional will help us

all focus on our Lord in a meaningful way during this very special time of the year.

El Viaje A La Tumba Vacía

Introducción

Hola y bienvenido a "El viaje a la tumba vacía". Este es un devocional de 47 días

que nos lleva desde lo que tradicionalmente se llama Miércoles de Ceniza (17 de

Febrero) hasta la Pascua, que es el Domingo de Resurrección (3 de Abril). Cada

día encontrará una lectura sugerida de las Escrituras y una oración escrita en inglés

y español. Es nuestra esperanza y oración que este devocional nos ayude a todos a

enfocarnos en nuestro Señor de una manera significativa durante esta época tan

especial del año.

Day 1 – Wednesday, February 17, 2021 (Ash Wednesday)

“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to

be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to

love one another. – I John 4:10-11

Lord, as we focus on You, may Your love for us control us. May we be constrained

and motivated by Your love for us as we meditate on the cross. You died for us, for

our sins, for our salvation, in our place, to bring us to God. Tomorrow may I love

You more as I think about Your love for me. May my love for You be reflected in

my obedience to You and my service for You not just by words to You. In Your

Name I pray. AMEN.

Día 1

10 En esto consiste el amor: no en que nosotros hayamos amado a Dios, sino en

que él nos amó a nosotros, y envió a su Hijo en propiciación por nuestros pecados.

11 Amados, si Dios nos ha amado así, debemos también nosotros amarnos unos a

otros. - I Juan 4: 10-11

Señor, mientras nos enfocamos en ti, que tu amor por nosotros nos controle. Que

seamos constreñidos y motivados por Tu amor por nosotros mientras meditamos en

la cruz. Moriste por nosotros, por nuestros pecados, por nuestra salvación, en

nuestro lugar, para llevarnos a Dios. Que mañana te ame más mientras pienso en tu

amor por mí. Que mi amor por Ti se refleje en mi obediencia a Ti y en mi servicio

a Ti, no solo en palabras para Ti. En Tu Nombre oro. AMÉN.

Day 2 – Thursday, February 18, 2021

“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh,

God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by

canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he

set aside, nailing it to the cross.” – Colossians 2:13-14

Dear Lord, We wish we didn't stumble. We wish we didn’t sin and fall short of

Your glory, Your divine standard. We wish we didn’t trespass, stepping out of the

divine boundaries often on purpose. We wish we weren’t twisted, messed up inside

and out. Lord, You tell us that the wages of our sin is death, separation from You

both know and eternally. Lord, I had one big debt with You. Thank you for

canceling my record of debt, my I.O.U. with You for my sins past, present and

future. Thank You for nailing my debt to Your cross and paying for it all with

Your precious blood and life. I can never repay You my Savior. Your love is so

beyond description.

Dia 2

13 Y a vosotros, estando muertos en pecados y en la incircuncisión de vuestra

carne, os dio vida juntamente con él, perdonándoos todos los pecados,

14 anulando el acta de los decretos que había contra nosotros, que nos era

contraria, quitándola de en medio y clavándola en la cruz, - Colosenses 2: 13-14

Querido Dios, deseamos no tropezar. Deseamos no haber pecado y no haber

alcanzado tu gloria, tu divina norma. Deseamos no haber traspasado, saliendo de

los límites divinos a menudo a propósito. Ojalá no estuviéramos retorcidos,

desordenados por dentro y por fuera. Señor, nos dices que la paga de nuestro

pecado es la muerte, la separación de ti tanto lo sabes como eternamente. Señor,

tenía una gran deuda contigo. Gracias por cancelar mi registro de deuda, mi I.O. U.

contigo por mis pecados pasados, presentes y futuros. Gracias por clavar mi deuda

en Tu cruz y pagarla con tu preciosa sangre y vida. Nunca podré pagarte mi

Salvador. Tu amor es tan indescriptible.

Day 3 – Friday, February 19, 2021

“Always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also

be manifested in our bodies.” - 2 Corinthians 4:10

Lord may I never forget Your death for me. Beyond that Lord may I always keep it

in mind not morbidly but victoriously. Not morbidly because You willingly died

for me. No one took Your life. You gave it up willingly for me. Victoriously

because as I focus on Your death for my sin I am reminded that I am dead to sin. I

can now begin living for You because sin has no power over me. It need not reign

in me. Because of Your death, Your cross, I’m free from the slavery to sin. May I

apply daily the freedom from sin found in the cross. In Your Name I pray, Amen.

Día 3

10 llevando en el cuerpo siempre por todas partes la muerte de Jesús, para que

también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestros cuerpos.- 2 Corintios 4:10

Señor, que nunca olvide tu muerte por mí. Más allá de ese Señor, que siempre lo

tenga en cuenta, no morbosamente, sino victoriosamente. No morbosamente

porque voluntariamente moriste por mí. Nadie te quitó la vida. Lo dejaste de buena

gana por mí. Victoriosamente porque al enfocarme en Tu muerte por mi pecado,

recuerdo que estoy muerto al pecado. Ahora puedo empezar a vivir para ti porque

el pecado no tiene poder sobre mí. No tiene por qué reinar en mí. Debido a Tu

muerte, Tu cruz, estoy libre de la esclavitud del pecado. Que pueda aplicar

diariamente la libertad del pecado que se encuentra en la cruz. En tu nombre oro,

amén.

Day 4 – Saturday, February 20, 2021

“But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by

which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” – Galatians 6:14

Lord, there are so many things I take pride in, so many things I want others to

know I have accomplished. Thank You Lord for Your cross. It reminds me that it

is not about what I have done, am doing or will do. It is about what You alone have

done! Your work on the cross accomplished my redemption and provided salvation

for all who have placed their faith in You. By it the world has been crucified to me.

It has nothing to offer me. It is dead to me. I have also been crucified to the world.

I need not seek its approval. It is only in the cross of Christ that I make my boast.

This season may my heart and mind be occupied with these three crucifixions, My

Savior on the Cross, the world to me and me to the world. In Jesus’ Name I pray.

Amen.

Día 4

14 llevando en el cuerpo siempre por todas partes la muerte de Jesús, para que

también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestros cuerpos.- Gálatas 6:14

Señor, hay tantas cosas de las que me enorgullezco, tantas cosas que quiero que

otros sepan que he logrado. Gracias Señor por Tu cruz. Me recuerda que no se trata

de lo que he hecho, estoy haciendo o haré. ¡Se trata de lo que solo Tú has hecho!

Tu trabajo en la cruz logró mi redención y proporcionó salvación a todos los que

han puesto su fe en ti. Por ella el mundo me ha sido crucificado. No tiene nada que

ofrecerme. Está muerto para mí. Yo también he sido crucificado al mundo. No

necesito buscar su aprobación. Solo en la cruz de Cristo me glorío. Esta temporada,

que mi corazón y mi mente estén ocupados con estas tres crucifixiones, Mi

Salvador en la Cruz, el mundo para mí y yo para el mundo. En el nombre de Jesús

oro. Amén.

Day 5 – Sunday, February 21, 2021

“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are

being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of

the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” – 1 Corinthians 1:18

Lord, the world just doesn’t get it. When I speak of Your cross and the salvation

found through its work they find my words foolishness. They think serious

followers of Yours are fanatics. They find our faith in Your blood sacrifice

offensive. Thank You that the preaching of Your cross is the power of God. Thank

you that the message of Your cross changes lives, that it changed and is changing

my life. Thank You that those who meet You at Your cross are never the same.

Thank You that it doesn’t matter that the wise of this world find the cross

foolishness. You have made their wisdom to be foolishness by what you’ve done

in countless lives throughout the centuries. Thank You that my life is one of those

lives. In Your Name I pray. Amen

Dia 5

18 Porque la palabra de la cruz es locura a los que se pierden; pero a los que se

salvan, esto es, a nosotros, es poder de Dios.- 1 Corintios 1:18

Señor, el mundo simplemente no lo entiende. Cuando hablo de Tu cruz y la

salvación que se encuentra a través de su obra, ellos encuentran mis palabras como

una locura. Creen que los seguidores serios de Yours son fanáticos. Ellos

encuentran ofensiva nuestra fe en Tu sacrificio de sangre. Gracias porque la

predicación de tu cruz es el poder de Dios. Gracias porque el mensaje de Tu cruz

Day 6 - Monday, February 22, 2021

“Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places

every year with blood not his own, for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly

since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the

end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Hebrews 9:25-26

Lord, You have provided such an amazing path to Yourself. The New Covenant in

Your blood is so incredible. Your sacrifice is not one that covers my sin for a year

but it is one that cancels my sin forever. It is not like the animal sacrifices

repeatedly daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. It is a once for all sacrifice. It’s an

eternal sacrifice made by an eternal person, You Lord Jesus, to secure for us, for

me, an eternal salvation. Hallelujah. What a Savior.

Día 6

25 y no para ofrecerse muchas veces, como entra el sumo sacerdote en el Lugar

Santísimo cada año con sangre ajena.

26 De otra manera le hubiera sido necesario padecer muchas veces desde el

principio del mundo; pero ahora, en la consumación de los siglos, se presentó una

vez para siempre por el sacrificio de sí mismo para quitar de en medio el pecado. -

Hebreos 9: 25-26

Señor, te has provisto de un camino tan asombroso. El Nuevo Pacto en Tu sangre

es tan increíble. Tu sacrificio no cubre mi pecado durante un año, sino que cancela

mi pecado para siempre. No es como el sacrificio de animales repetidamente

diario, semanal, mensual y anual. Es un sacrificio de una vez por todas. Es un

sacrificio eterno hecho por una persona eterna, Tú, Señor Jesús, para asegurarnos,

para mí, una salvación eterna. Aleluya. ¡Qué Salvador!

Day 7 – Tuesday, February 23, 2021

“Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your

forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious

blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” – 1 Peter 1:18-19

“Heavenly Father, I was on the market. I was a prisoner to sin. I desperately

needed to be redeemed, to be bought off that slave market never to be sold again. I

could not redeem myself. My only resources would have been the perishable things

of this life like silver and gold. No matter how much I had of these it would not

have been enough. The cost of my redemption was beyond anything any human

could ever pay no matter the extent of their wealth. The price of my redemption

was the precious blood of the spotless, blameless Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, Your

Son. There has never, ever, ever been a greater price paid for a redemption. God, it

is so hard to believe but it is so powerful to know that I’m worth so much to You

that You would pay that kind of price for me, broken sinful me. It was the only

way and You made it happen. Hallelujah. Love so amazing, so divine, demands my

heart, my soul, my all.

Día 7

18 sabiendo que fuisteis rescatados de vuestra vana manera de vivir, la cual

recibisteis de vuestros padres, no con cosas corruptibles, como oro o plata,

19 sino con la sangre preciosa de Cristo, como de un cordero sin mancha y sin

contaminación- 1 Pedro 1: 18-19

“Padre Celestial, estaba en el mercado. Fui prisionero del pecado. Necesitaba

desesperadamente ser redimido, que me compraran en ese mercado de esclavos

para nunca más ser vendido. No pude redimirme. Mis únicos recursos habrían sido

las cosas perecederas de esta vida como la plata y el oro. No importa cuánto

tuviera de estos, no habría sido suficiente. El costo de mi redención fue más allá de

lo que cualquier ser humano podría pagar sin importar el alcance de su riqueza. El

precio de mi redención fue la sangre preciosa del Cordero de Dios sin mancha y sin

mancha, Jesucristo, Tu Hijo. Nunca, jamás, se ha pagado un precio mayor por una

redención. Dios, es tan difícil de creer, pero es tan poderoso saber que valgo tanto

para Ti que pagarías ese tipo de precio por mí, yo quebrantado y pecador. Era la

única forma y Tú lo hiciste posible. Aleluya. Amor tan asombroso, tan divino,

exige mi corazón, mi alma, mi todo.

Day 8 – Wednesday, February 24, 2021

“My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if

anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the

whole world.” -1 John 2:1-2

Thank You my Lord for being my Advocate with the Father. Thank You for being

my lawyer, my lawyer like no other. You enter my guilty plea and then pay the

penalty for my crimes, appeasing the just demands of a Holy God. Justice says the

soul that sins must die and that the wages of sin is death, separation from God both

now and eternally. Seated at the right hand of the Father, Your pierced hands, feet

and side are visual reminders that my debt has been paid in full by You and You

alone, the only Righteous One. At Your cross justice and mercy are displayed in

their fullness. The sinner that I am is provided salvation by the Savior that You are.

I am in awe. In Your Name I pray. Amen.

Día 8

Hijitos míos, estas cosas os escribo para que no pequéis; y si alguno hubiere

pecado, abogado tenemos para con el Padre, a Jesucristo el justo.

2 Y él es la propiciación por nuestros pecados; y no solamente por los nuestros,

sino también por los de todo el mundo. -1 Juan 2: 1-2

Gracias mi Señor por ser mi Abogado ante el Padre. Gracias por ser mi abogado,

mi abogado como ningún otro. Entras en mi declaración de culpabilidad y luego

pagas la pena por mis crímenes, apaciguando las justas demandas de un Dios

Santo. La justicia dice que el alma que los pecados debe morir y que la paga del

pecado es muerte, separación de Dios ahora y eternamente. Sentado a la diestra del

Padre, Tus manos, pies y costado traspasados son recordatorios visuales de que mi

deuda ha sido pagada en su totalidad por Tú y solo Tú, el único Justo. En tu cruz,

la justicia y la misericordia se manifiestan en su plenitud. El pecador que soy

recibe la salvación del Salvador que eres. Estoy impresionado. En Tu Nombre oro.

Day 9 – Thursday, February 25, 2021

“Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the

commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope

and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off

have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” – Ephesians 2:12-13

Lord, as Gentiles we were not in a good state. We did not have the advantages of

Your people the Jews. We were Christless, citizenship less, covenantless, hopeless,

and godless in this brutal and dark world. You did not leave us in that sad state of

affairs. We who were afar off are now made near. How was that made possible? The

blood of Jesus Christ. That which kept us from God was our sin. My sin kept me in a

position of being far off. The impediment, the road block, has been removed. Now I

am no longer separated from Christ. He is my Messiah too. I am now a citizen of

heaven. I partake of the New Covenant were Jew and Gentile are one body in Christ. I

am filled with hope and I have drawn near to God as His dear Child. All because of

the blood of Jesus Christ spilled out on that tree. Positionally it can’t get any better

than this and it is all because of the cross. All praise be to God the Father through the

Holy Spirit in the Name of the Son. Amen

Día 9

12 En aquel tiempo estabais sin Cristo, alejados de la ciudadanía de Israel y ajenos a

los pactos de la promesa, sin esperanza y sin Dios en el mundo.

13 Pero ahora en Cristo Jesús, vosotros que en otro tiempo estabais lejos, habéis sido

hechos cercanos por la sangre de Cristo.- Efesios 2: 12-13

Señor, como gentiles no estábamos en buen estado. No teníamos las ventajas de Tu

pueblo los judíos. Éramos sin Cristo, sin ciudadanía, sin pacto, sin esperanza y sin

Dios en este mundo brutal y oscuro. No nos dejaste en ese triste estado de cosas.

Nosotros que estábamos lejos, ahora nos acercamos. ¿Cómo fue eso posible? La

sangre de Jesucristo. Lo que nos alejó de Dios fue nuestro pecado. Mi pecado me

mantuvo en una posición de estar lejos. El impedimento, el bloqueo de la carretera, se

ha eliminado. Ahora ya no estoy separado de Cristo. Él también es mi Mesías. Ahora

soy un ciudadano del cielo. Participo del Nuevo Pacto donde los judíos y los gentiles

son un cuerpo en Cristo. Estoy lleno de esperanza y me he acercado a Dios como Su

querido Hijo. Todo a causa de la sangre de Jesucristo derramada sobre ese árbol.

Posicionalmente no puede haber nada mejor que esto y todo se debe a la cruz. Toda la

Day 10 – Friday, February 26, 2021

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives

in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who

loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20

Lord I was crucified with You. But I didn’t feel the whip upon Your back. I didn’t

wince when the crown of thorns was placed upon Your head, I didn’t scream in

agony when the nails were driven through Your hands and feet. My breath was not

taken away when Your cross was dropped in the ground. I wasn’t stared upon in

shame as You hung there between heaven and earth. I never felt the pangs of thirst

or the excruciating pains of suffocation. I didn’t shed one drop of redemptive

blood. I never felt the blackness of our Father turning away and I never felt the

need to cry out “My God, My God why hast Thou forsaken me”. But I was

crucified with You. I felt nothing because You bore all the physical, emotional and

spiritual consequences of sin. Not Your sin, my sin. What you have done for me is

overwhelming. Thank You that I can say “I was crucified with Christ.” I Your

name. Amen

Día 10

20 Con Cristo estoy juntamente crucificado, y ya no vivo yo, mas vive Cristo en

mí; y lo que ahora vivo en la carne, lo vivo en la fe del Hijo de Dios, el cual me

amó y se entregó a sí mismo por mí. - Gálatas 2:20

Señor, fui crucificado contigo. Pero no sentí el látigo en tu espalda. No me

estremecí cuando la corona de espinas fue colocada sobre Tu cabeza, no grité de

agonía cuando los clavos atravesaron Tus manos y pies. No me quedé sin aliento

cuando tu cruz cayó al suelo. No me miraron con vergüenza mientras Tú colgaste

allí entre el cielo y la tierra. Nunca sentí las punzadas de la sed o los insoportables

dolores de asfixia. No derramé ni una gota de sangre redentora. Nunca sentí la

negrura de nuestro Padre alejarse y nunca sentí la necesidad de gritar “Dios mío,

Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?”. Pero fui crucificado contigo. No sentí

nada porque cargaste con todas las consecuencias físicas, emocionales y

espirituales del pecado. No es tu pecado, mi pecado. Lo que has hecho por mí es

abrumador. Gracias porque puedo decir: "Fui crucificado con Cristo". Yo tu

nombre. Amén

Day 11 – Saturday, February 27, 2021

“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit

has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his

own blood.”- Act 20:28

Dear God, Your Church is a group of broken people. We often badly represent

You. We sometimes misrepresent You. We frequently are disobedient to Your

clear commands. We fight among ourselves. We get off mission so easily. Change

seems to come so slow to us. We can be worldly, we can act unholy and we can be

downright stupid. Lord Jesus, thank You that we are not our church BUT Your

Church. We are Your Church because we are purchased by Your blood. You

didn’t pay so great a price to leave us as we are. You are in the process of making

us blameless and spotless and like Yourself. You are invested in us at the highest

level. You bought us and we are Yours forever. In Your name we pray. Amen

Día 11

28 Por tanto, mirad por vosotros, y por todo el rebaño en que el Espíritu Santo os

ha puesto por obispos, para apacentar la iglesia del Señor, la cual él ganó por su

propia sangre. -Hechos 20:28).

Querido Dios, Tu Iglesia es un grupo de personas quebrantadas. A menudo te

representamos mal. A veces lo representamos mal. Con frecuencia desobedecemos

Tus claros mandamientos. Luchamos entre nosotros. Salimos de la misión tan

fácilmente. El cambio parece llegar muy lento para nosotros. Podemos ser

mundanos, podemos actuar impíos y podemos ser completamente estúpidos. Señor

Jesús, gracias porque no somos nuestra iglesia, SINO tu Iglesia. Somos Tu Iglesia

porque somos comprados por Tu sangre. No pagó un precio tan alto para dejarnos

como estamos. Estás en el proceso de hacernos irreprensibles e impecables y como

Tú. Estás invertido en nosotros al más alto nivel. Nos compraste y somos tuyos

para siempre. En tu nombre oramos. Amén

Day 12 – Sunday, February 28, 2021

“And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to

the point of death, even death on a cross.” – Philippians 2:8

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the cross, Your cross, was the supreme example

of humiliation and submission. You humbled Yourself in allowing the Jewish

leaders to accuse You. You humbled Yourself in letting the Government officials

to abuse You and then You humbled Yourself ln letting the Roman Soldiers to

abuse You. You humbled Yourself in letting Yourself be mistreated. You humbled

Yourself in not retaliating. You did this all in obedience to the Fathers will. When

You said “nevertheless not My will but Yours be done” You meant it. You put no

limits on Your obedience, even death and then even death on a cross. The worst

sort of death imaginable. In Your cross I find the supreme example of a heart

of humility and obedience. Make my heart like Yours, Lord. Please make my heart

like Yours. In Your name I pray this. Amen

Día 12

8 y estando en la condición de hombre, se humilló a sí mismo, haciéndose

obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz. -Filipenses 2: 8

Mi Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, la cruz, Tu cruz, fue el ejemplo supremo de

humillación y sumisión. Te humillaste al permitir que los líderes judíos te

acusaran. Te humillaste al permitir que los funcionarios del gobierno te maltrataran

y luego te humillaste al permitir que los soldados romanos te maltrataran. Te

humillaste al dejarte maltratar. Te humillaste al no tomar represalias. Hiciste todo

esto en obediencia a la voluntad del Padre. Cuando dijiste “no obstante, no se haga

mi voluntad, sino la tuya”, lo decías en serio. No pones límites a tu obediencia, ni

siquiera a la muerte y luego a la muerte en la cruz. El peor tipo de muerte

imaginable. En Tu cruz encuentro el ejemplo supremo de un corazón de humildad

y obediencia. Haz mi corazón como el tuyo, Señor. Por favor haz mi corazón como

el tuyo. En tu nombre oro esto. Amén

Day 13 – Monday, March 1, 2021

“And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and

the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser

of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our

God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of

their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”– Revelation 12:10-

11

Lord, We win, I win. All who are in Christ win. The devil and the forces of

darkness are vanquished. I am not a victim but a victor, not overcomed but an

overcomer. When it is time to tell the “why” may the words I write now always be

my theme, “By the blood of the Lamb”. The cross was not a loss but a triumph.

The wounds were not fatal but life giving. The tomb was not final but a pausing

Señor, ganamos, yo gano. Todos los que están en Cristo ganan. El diablo y las

fuerzas de las tinieblas son vencidos. No soy una víctima, sino un vencedor, no

vencido, sino vencedor. Cuando llegue el momento de decir el "por qué", que las

palabras que escribo ahora sean siempre mi tema, "Por la sangre del Cordero". La

cruz no fue una pérdida sino un triunfo. Las heridas no fueron fatales sino

vivificantes. La tumba no era definitiva, sino un punto de pausa en el camino hacia

“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the

testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing

among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” – 1 Corinthians 2:1-2

Dear Heavenly Father, When I am tempted to get fancy in my presentation of the

gospel may I be reminded to know nothing among the lost but Jesus Christ and

Him crucified. When I get reliant on visual images and videos may I be jolted so

that I determine to know nothing among the lost but Jesus Christ and Him

crucified. Should I find myself pushing myself, my Church or my denomination

please call to my remembrance that I am to know nothing among the lost but Jesus

Christ and Him crucified. Should I back away from the cross or the necessity of a

blood atonement or should I began to compromise and fail to put the cross as a

central element of my theology may I hear Your Holy Spirit shouting through the

pen of the Apostle Paul that I am to know nothing among the lost but Jesus Christ

and Him crucified. Amen. In Jesus’ name. Amen

visuales y los videos, que me sorprenda y decida no saber nada entre los perdidos,

excepto Jesucristo y Él crucificado. Si me encuentro presionándome a mí mismo, a

mi Iglesia o mi denominación, por favor recuerden que no debo saber nada entre

Day 15 – Wednesday, March 3, 2021

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our

sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third

day in accordance with the Scriptures… “ 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

God, I thank you today that the gospel, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ,

is not new. It has been passed to us through the Apostles of our Lord. They in turn got it

via revelation from You. But the revelation began with Your Holy Scriptures, the Ancient

prophecies. These prophecies point to the seed of a woman who would crush Satan’s

head, who would be from the nation of Israel whose founder is Abraham, to bless all the

nations of the earth, who would be from the tribe of Judah, who would be from the family

of David out of the town of Bethlehem, from a virgin named Mary. This passed down,

prophesied, gospel was all planned well in advance, from the foundation of the world. It

is ancient yet relevant, it is old but makes us new. It is a plan for all mankind but it is

personal to me. It is so complicated a scholar can’t connect all the dots but so simple

someone with childlike faith can understand and believe and be saved. Today that

someone is me. Thank you for the passed down, prophesied, planned gospel that has

saved me through Jesus Christ. In His name I pray. Amen

Dios, te agradezco hoy porque el evangelio, la muerte, sepultura y resurrección de

Jesucristo, no es nuevo. Nos ha sido transmitido a través de los Apóstoles de nuestro

Señor. Ellos a su vez lo obtuvieron a través de una revelación tuya. Pero la revelación

comenzó con Tus Sagradas Escrituras, las Antiguas profecías. Estas profecías apuntan a

la simiente de una mujer que aplastaría la cabeza de Satanás, que sería de la nación de

Israel cuyo fundador es Abraham, para bendecir a todas las naciones de la tierra, que

sería de la tribu de Judá, que sería de la familia de David de la ciudad de Belén, de una

virgen llamada María. Este evangelio transmitido y profetizado fue planeado con mucha

anticipación, desde la fundación del mundo. Es antiguo pero relevante, es antiguo pero

nos hace nuevos. Es un plan para toda la humanidad, pero es personal para mí. Es tan

complicado que un erudito no puede conectar todos los puntos, pero tan simple que

alguien con una fe infantil puede entender, creer y ser salvo. Hoy ese alguien soy yo.

Gracias por el evangelio transmitido, profetizado y planificado que me ha salvado a

Day 16 – Thursday, March 4, 2021

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ

loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” -

Ephesians 5:1–2

My Lord, It seems abundantly clear to me that I stink. That is to say that in and of

my own self because of my sin my spiritual odor is hideous. The rot of my

transgressions and the stench of my iniquity figuratively speaking surely are vile to

the nostrils of a holy God. In and of myself I am as rotting flesh and a decaying

corpse. But Christ!!! The beauty of His cross cannot be overstated. In it He gave

His perfect self up for us out of perfect love. What He did is described as a fragrant

offering and a sacrifice to God. In contrast to me and my sin, His perfect offering

is a good and pleasant smell to God. In other words, the perfume of the cross that

now works for me replaces the stench of death that in the past worked in me.

Thank You Lord that because of the cross I smell good. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Día 16

Sed, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados.

2 Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó a sí mismo por

nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio a Dios en olor fragante. - Efesios 5: 1–2

Mi Señor, me parece muy claro que apesto. Es decir que en mi propio yo debido a

mi pecado, mi olor espiritual es espantoso. La podredumbre de mis transgresiones

y el hedor de mi iniquidad, en sentido figurado, sin duda son viles a la nariz de un

Dios santo. En y por mí mismo soy como carne podrida y un cadáver en

descomposición. Pero Cristo !!! La belleza de su cruz no se puede exagerar. En él,

Él se entregó a Su perfecto yo por nosotros por amor perfecto. Lo que hizo se

describe como una ofrenda fragante y un sacrificio a Dios. En contraste conmigo y

con mi pecado, Su ofrenda perfecta es un olor bueno y agradable para Dios. En

otras palabras, el perfume de la cruz que ahora funciona para mí reemplaza el

hedor de la muerte que en el pasado trabajaba en mí. Gracias Señor que a causa de

la cruz huelo bien. En el nombre de Jesus. Amén

Day 17 – Friday, March 5, 2021

“Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according

to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now

tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is

destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set

on earthly things.” – Philippians 3:17-19

Heavenly Father, Because of the cross I can choose not to be captivated by earthly

thing. Because of the cross I can choose not to glory in the things that are shameful

to You. Because of the cross I can choose not to be ruled by my appetites making

my belly my god. Because of Your work in me I am a friend of the cross. I

embrace what it stands for and I love the Savior who hung there for me. In His

name I gratefully pray. Amen

Día 17

17 Hermanos, sed imitadores de mí, y mirad a los que así se conducen según el

ejemplo que tenéis en nosotros.

18 Porque por ahí andan muchos, de los cuales os dije muchas veces, y aun ahora

lo digo llorando, que son enemigos de la cruz de Cristo;

19 el fin de los cuales será perdición, cuyo Dios es el vientre, y cuya gloria es su

vergüenza; que sólo piensan en lo terrenal.-Filipenses 3: 17-19

Padre celestial, debido a la cruz puedo elegir no dejarme cautivar por las cosas

terrenales. Debido a la cruz, puedo optar por no gloriarme en las cosas que te son

vergonzosas. Debido a la cruz, puedo elegir no dejarme dominar por mis apetitos,

lo que hace que mi vientre sea mi dios. Por tu obra en mí, soy amigo de la cruz.

Acepto lo que representa y amo al Salvador que colgó allí por mí. En Su nombre

Day 18 – Saturday, March 6, 2021

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and

thanksgivings be made for all people…..This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight

of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the

knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between

God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is

the testimony given at the proper time.” - 1 Timothy 2:1, 3-6

God My Savior, What is Your desire, Your divine wish? Is it not that all men be

saved and come to the knowledge of the truth? Not some, all. You made it

possible for all men to be saved by sending Jesus to give Himself a ransom for all.

Not some, all. Jesus, Our Mediator, Your Son, provided salvation for all men

because You desire all men to be saved. Not some, all. Lord, it is both an

obligation and a privilege for us to partner with You in this divine wish. We must

pray for all, preach to all and pay for all to hear Your life changing message of the

cross and for them to be saved. Not some, all. May this mission not our mess be

our focus. Not some, all. In Jesus name. Amen.

Día 18

1 Exhorto ante todo, a que se hagan rogativas, oraciones, peticiones y acciones de

gracias, por todos los hombres;… 3 Porque esto es bueno y agradable delante de

Dios nuestro Salvador, 4 el cual quiere que todos los hombres sean salvos y vengan

al conocimiento de la verdad. 5 Porque hay un solo Dios, y un solo mediador entre

Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre, 6 el cual se dio a sí mismo en rescate por

For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has

died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might

no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. –

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Lord please forgive me when I am not contained or controlled by Your love. I tend

to live for myself rather than for You, the One who died for me and rose again. I

have a propensity for selfishness, to seek only what I want. My sinfulness

expressed by my selfishness has caused my life to have the problems it has. My

mess is caused by my messiness. I need more than just forgiveness. I need

deliverance. May I live out the words ``therefore all have died” everyday this week

by counting my sinful self dead and thus powerless to dominate me. In Your name

I pray. Amen.

Día 19

14 Porque el amor de Cristo nos constriñe, pensando esto: que si uno murió por

todos, luego todos murieron;

15 y por todos murió, para que los que viven, ya no vivan para sí, sino para aquel

que murió y resucitó por ellos. - 2 Corintios 5: 14-15

Señor, perdóname cuando tu amor no me contenga ni me controle. Tiendo a vivir

para mí y no para Ti, Aquel que murió por mí y resucitó. Tengo una propensión al

egoísmo, a buscar solo lo que quiero. Mi pecaminosidad expresada por mi egoísmo

ha causado que mi vida tenga los problemas que tiene. Mi desorden es causado por

mi desorden. Necesito algo más que el perdón. Necesito liberación. Que pueda

vivir las palabras "por tanto, todos han muerto" todos los días esta semana

contando mi yo pecador muerto y por lo tanto impotente para dominarme. En tu

“Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him

stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions;

he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us

peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we

have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the

iniquity of us all.” – Isaiah 53:4-6

My Lord, The ugliness of this season is all to clear. Isaiah speaks primarily not of

Your seen suffering of the wrath of man but of Your unseen suffering of the wrath

of God. Being smitten by God, being pierced for our transgression and being

crushed for our iniquities speaks of a nearly unbearable pain. As we read that Your

punishment brought us peace and Your wounds brought us healing we are

reminded of why You needed to do it. The mess that is us. Like stinky directionless

smelly sheep we have gone astray. Everything that was wrong with us was loaded

on to You. We are now standing in grace and forgiveness. Wow. What a Savior

You are. In Your name I pray. Amen

4 Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros

le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido.

5 Mas él herido fue por nuestras rebeliones, molido por nuestros pecados; el

Mi Señor, la fealdad de esta temporada está por aclararse. Isaías habla

principalmente no de Tu sufrimiento visto de la ira del hombre, sino de Tu

sufrimiento invisible de la ira de Dios. Ser herido por Dios, ser traspasado por

nuestra transgresión y ser aplastado por nuestras iniquidades habla de un dolor casi

insoportable. Cuando leemos que tu castigo nos trajo paz y tus heridas nos sanaron,

recordamos por qué tenías que hacerlo. El lío que somos nosotros. Como ovejas

malolientes sin rumbo apestoso, nos hemos descarriado. Todo lo que estaba mal

con nosotros fue cargado sobre ti. Ahora estamos en gracia y perdón. Guau. Qué

Salvador eres. En tu nombre oro. Amén


“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also

lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with

endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter

of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising

the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” - Hebrews 12:1-2

Today Lord I’m focusing on You. I’m in a race, a marathon. There are a cloud of

witnesses who have run the race before me. I’m dropping the weights and sin that

trips me up. I see You at the finish line. You are the goal. And You are my Perfect

Example. You endured the cross though You despised the shame. Now You are

rewarded with the seat at the right hand of Your Father. So as I run this race I look

to You. I’m not looking to my right or left at the other competitors. I look to You.

I’m not focusing on the fatigue or distance to the end. I look to You. In Your name

I pray. Amen

Día 21

Por tanto, nosotros también, teniendo en derredor nuestro tan grande nube de

testigos, despojémonos de todo peso y del pecado que nos asedia, y corramos con

paciencia la carrera que tenemos por delante,

2 puestos los ojos en Jesús, el autor y consumador de la fe, el cual por el gozo

puesto delante de él sufrió la cruz, menospreciando el oprobio, y se sentó a la

diestra del trono de Dios. - Hebreos 12: 1-2

Hoy, Señor, me estoy enfocando en ti. Estoy en una carrera, un maratón. Hay una

nube de testigos que han corrido la carrera antes que yo. Estoy dejando caer los

pesos y el pecado que me hace tropezar. Te veo en la línea de meta. Tu eres la

meta. Y tú eres mi perfecto ejemplo. Soportaste la cruz aunque despreciaste la

“Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you

may not grow weary or fainthearted. In your struggle against sin you have not yet

Lord, when I am tired in the midst of struggling against unrighteousness may I

consider You. When I’m weary in my own struggles with sin may I consider You.

When my heart gives out from the battle for Your kingdom may I consider You.

As I consider You I need to remember a few things. You resisted sinful man unto

death, dying unjustly. You resisted sin unto the cross, dying to make us just. My

resistance is but a fraction of Yours. I’ve endured but a fragment of what you’ve

endured. May I gain courage and inspiration as I consider You. In Your name I

pray. Amen.

3 Considerad a aquel que sufrió tal contradicción de pecadores contra sí mismo,

para que vuestro ánimo no se canse hasta desmayar.

4 Porque aún no habéis resistido hasta la sangre, combatiendo contra el pecado;-

Señor, cuando esté cansado en medio de la lucha contra la injusticia, puedo

Lord, my Lord, I have died with You so Your promise is that I will live with

You…forever. Thank You as well that I’ve been promised that if my faith fails, if I

am weak and falter, ou will remain faithful to me in my faithlessness. This is true

because I am united with You and You cant deny Yourself. My destiny is

longer sin’s slave. I’m free. The lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the

pride of life no longer need to be my boss. I’m free. May I never be a freedom

Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear

Heavenly Father, Your Son Jesus Christ is truly all and all I need. Please help me

to be heavenly minded, a kingdom minded person for that is where my true riches

lie. Thank you that my life is hidden in Christ in God. My sins, my failures, my

frailty are hidden with Christ in You. Thank you that this world is not my home. A

better day is coming when Your Son is revealed from heaven. In His name I pray,

Padre Celestial, Tu Hijo Jesucristo es verdaderamente todo lo que necesito. Por

favor, ayúdame a tener una mentalidad celestial, una persona con mentalidad de

reino, porque ahí es donde están mis verdaderas riquezas. Gracias porque mi vida

nos oculta en Cristo en Dios. Mis pecados, mis fracasos, mi fragilidad están

escondidos con Cristo en ti. Gracias porque este mundo no es mi hogar. Se acerca

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just and for the unjust, that He might

bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” - I

Peter 3:18 NKJV

Jesus, My Savior, You suffered for sins, my sins. The Righteous One is You, the

unrighteous one is me. My name is synonymous with the unrighteous one. Your

substitutionary sacrifice was purposeful. It was so that You could bring us to God,

bring me to God. You literally died in the flesh but rose again by means of the

Holy Spirit. My life changing relationship with God is because of You. My life is

so different because of You. I can never thank you enough. In Your name I pray.

Jesús, mi Salvador, sufriste por mis pecados, mis pecados. El Justo eres tú, el

injusto soy yo. Mi nombre es sinónimo de injusto. Tu sacrificio sustitutivo fue

intencional. Fue para que pudieras llevarnos a Dios, llevarme a Dios. Literalmente

moriste en la carne, pero resucitaste por medio del Espíritu Santo. Mi relación con

Great God, The height of Your love is amazing. Lord Jesus, the depth of Your

humility is almost unfathomable. The King of Glory is made lower than the angels.

Then He suffered death. Great God, by Your amazing grace He suffered death for

every man whoever lived including me. We have a great God, We have an

awesome Savior, We are the recipients of amazing grace. We are so blessed.

“Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook

of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power

of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were

subject to lifelong slavery.” - Hebrews 2:14-15

Lord, You do things differently. The one who has the power of death had us in

bondage. You destroyed him and delivered us through…. death. It doesn’t get

much more ironic than that. We develop strategies to be witness’ and win many to

Christ and they so often go astray. We lose yet You turn it into a win. Stephen

proclaimed the gospel in Jerusalem and was stoned to death. Was this a loss for the

church? Humanly speaking, yes. More persecution came out of this but as Your

people were scattered they boldly preached the word everywhere and Saul who

became Paul and preached the gospel fearlessly to the Gentiles, came to faith

because of the martyrdom of Stephen. You do things differently Lord. In Your

name we pray. Amen.

14 Así que, por cuanto los hijos participaron de carne y sangre, él también

Esteban proclamó el evangelio en Jerusalén y fue apedreado hasta morir. ¿Fue esto

una pérdida para la iglesia? Hablando humanamente, sí. Más persecución surgió de

esto, pero a medida que tu pueblo se dispersó, predicaron con valentía la palabra en

todas partes y Saulo, quien se convirtió en Pablo y predicó el evangelio sin temor a

Heavenly Father, You have proved Your love for us through Christ and His cross.

In that cross You made us righteous through Jesus’ shed blood. We are saved from

a deserved wrath through His death on that cross. Above all this we are reconciled

to You in the cross. We are no longer enemies but friends. I AM A FRIEND OF

GOD. Because Jesus lives our lives are so different, so different that we say thank

you in Jesus’ name. Amen

Padre Celestial, has demostrado tu amor por nosotros a través de Cristo y Su cruz.

En esa cruz nos hiciste justos mediante la sangre derramada de Jesús. Somos

salvados de una ira merecida a través de Su muerte en esa cruz. Sobre todo esto,

nos reconciliamos contigo en la cruz. Ya no somos enemigos, sino amigos. SOY

AMIGO DE DIOS. Debido a que Jesús vive, nuestras vidas son tan diferentes, tan

“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be

united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified

with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we

Lord, Everyday day we struggle with sin and sinful desires. Way too often we lose

the battle. You were crucified and we were crucified with you so that sin would no

longer have power over us. Lord, please help me to know this truth by experience

and to live it. Sin ruins us. It destroys us and our lives. You died for me not just to

save me from sins penalty but from its power as well. Help me to experience that

reality each day of my life. In Your name. Amen.

5 Porque si fuimos plantados juntamente con él en la semejanza de su muerte, así

My God, Perhaps the two surest things in life are sin and death. Amazingly that

doesn’t have to be the end of the story, the end of my story. Death should win.

Because of my sin my coffin should be nailed shut. The date on my grave stone

should mark the end of me. But thanks be to God! Heavenly Father I love the word

“but”. You alone give me victory and its through Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

He won, Through Him I win. Death where is your victory, grave where is your

sting. I am not a victim but a victor. Thanks be to God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord, We remember You in the unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine. Simple

but profound elements for us. We remember that Your body was broken and that

Your blood was poured out. We remember that it was in behalf of us, in our place

You suffered. We remember that it was for the establishment of a New Covenant

with us You died. We remember and we can’t wait to express our gratitude face to

face. We remember and we exclaim THANK YOU LORD JESUS! In Your name.

Lord, Your blood was poured out for many. Your blood was poured out for the crowds who

celebrated You on Palm Sunday. Your blood was poured out for the money changers who defiled

Your Father’s House. Your blood was poured out for the Pharisees and Sadducees who opposed

You during holy week. Your blood was poured out for Your followers who would be scattered.

Your blood was poured out for Judas who would betray You. Your blood was poured out for

Peter who would deny You. Your blood was poured out for the Temple Guards who arrested

You. Your blood was poured out for Caiaphas and Annais who turned Your over to Pilate. Your

blood was poured out for the crowds who cried “crucify him”. Your blood was poured out for

Pilate who sentenced You. Your blood was poured out for the soldiers who crucified You. Your

blood was poured out for the mockers who surrounded You. Your blood was poured out for the

thieves to Your left and right of You. Your blood was poured out for the Centurion who rammed

a spear into Your side. Your blood was poured out for many. So many. I am so thankful that

there was one more it was poured out for -Your blood was poured out for me. In Your name I

better, heavenly tabernacle where a way into the Holy of holies has been made for

us, the better eternal sacrifice of the spotless Lamb of God and finally the better

High Priest, Jesus Christ, who ever lives to make intercession for us and in whose

name we pray. Amen

I am so grateful today Lord that You know Your own sheep and that they know

You. You know me and I know You. It is amazing that we have the same personal

relationship with You that You have with Your Father. What is even more amazing

is that You lay down Your life for the sheep. We could not ask for a better

Shepherd. You gave Yourself up sacrificially for us, the smelly, senseless, silly

sheep. You remain our shepherd with our best interests at heart. You are in the

process of making us so much more. Thank You Great Shepherd of the Sheep. We

Estoy tan agradecido hoy, Señor, que conoces a tus propias ovejas y que ellas te

“The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?

The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because

there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one

Lord, the bread and cup are our opportunity to participate in a special way in Your

body and blood. In the remembrance of Your death we as Your followers are

united as one body partaking of one bread. Lord, help me to celebrate the unity of

Your followers in the bread and the cup. Even if we commemorate Your death

slightly differently, Your followers make up one body. In You name I ask this

16 La copa de bendición que bendecimos, ¿no es la comunión de la sangre de

Cristo? El pan que partimos, ¿no es la comunión del cuerpo de Cristo?

17 Siendo uno solo el pan, nosotros, con ser muchos, somos un cuerpo; pues todos

participamos de aquel mismo pan.- 1 Corintios 10: 16-17

Señor, el pan y la copa son nuestra oportunidad de participar de manera especial en

Tu cuerpo y sangre. En el recuerdo de Tu muerte, nosotros, como Tus seguidores,

estamos unidos como un cuerpo participando de un solo pan. Señor, ayúdame a

celebrar la unidad de Tus seguidores en el pan y la copa. Incluso si conmemoramos

Heavenly Father, The remembrance of Your Son’s sacrifice is sacred. What He did

is holy and deserves a focused remembrance. As I think of His selfless sacrifice, as

I hold and break the symbolic bread and as I gaze upon the cup of remembrance

may my mind and heart be renewed in love and devotion to Him through Your

Holy Spirit. May I never take for granted what has been done for me. In Jesus’

Name. Amen

27 De manera que cualquiera que comiere este pan o bebiere esta copa del Señor

Lord, When You pray we all should listen. Jesus, You interceded for those who

were killing You. You teach us Lord how to die. No bitterness, no hatred, and no

anger rather just love, compassion and forgiveness. Beyond that Lord You not only

pray for their forgiveness, You provide the means for them to be forgiven. You are

dying for the sins they are committing against You. There is no one like You Jesus.

Thank You for providing a forgiveness for even that which we do against You.

You are our Matchless Savior. We lift this prayer in Your name. Amen.

33 Y cuando llegaron al lugar llamado de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y a los

Lord, There are prayers of sinners and then there is a sinner’s prayer. The repentant

thief on the cross asked the simplest of things of You Lord and You answered in

the simplest way. Knowing he was going to die, the repentant sinner, the

thief, asked for life in Your future kingdom. It was a simple sinner’s prayer. You

answered his simple faith with a simple reward. Paradise. Today. Forever. With

You. How could You to do that? You were dying on that cross as an innocent

substitute for that dying thief. You died for His sins to give him paradise, today,

forever, with You. You died in my place as an innocent substitute to give me

paradise, today, forever, with You. If I or anyone, anywhere, in simple faith, like

the repentant thief, will ask, pray this sinner’s prayer, You will give me or them

paradise, today, forever, with You. Thank You my Savior. In Your name I pray.

42 Y dijo a Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vengas en tu reino.

43 Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.

Señor, hay oraciones de pecadores y luego hay oración de pecador. El ladrón

arrepentido en la cruz preguntó las cosas más simples de Ti Señor y Tú respondiste

“When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he

said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then He said to the disciple,

“Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own

home.” - John 19:26-27

Jesus, As You took up Your cross and did the Father’s will You still took care of

Your family responsibilities. You are carrying the sins of the world and in

unimaginable pain and You took care of Your family responsibilities. Lord, as I

seek to do Your will please allow me to be taking care of my family as part of

doing Your will. Thank you for Your example Jesus. In Your name. Amen.

26 Cuando vio Jesús a su madre, y al discípulo a quien él amaba, que estaba

Jesús, mientras tomaste tu cruz e hiciste la voluntad del Padre, aún cuidaste de tus

responsabilidades familiares. Llevas los pecados del mundo y sufres un dolor

inimaginable y te encargaste de tus responsabilidades familiares. Señor, mientras

busco hacer Tu voluntad, por favor permíteme cuidar a mi familia como parte de

hacer Tu voluntad. Gracias por tu ejemplo Jesús. En tu nombre. Amén.


“After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture),

“I thirst.” A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour

wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth.”- John 19:28-29

Dear Savior, When we hear you cry out “I thirst” it should cause us to shake our

heads in disbelief. You by Your word created all the oceans of this world. You by

an utterance from Your lips made all the lakes, rivers and streams and it is by those

same lips that the water molecules of H2O are held together. It is unimaginable

that now those same lips, Your lips, would pray in agony “I thirst”. The

great irony and the great agony are demonstrations of Your great and matchless

love for us. I can never thank You enough but I will surely try. In Your name I

pray. Amen.

Día 42

28 Después de esto, sabiendo Jesús que ya todo estaba consumado, dijo, para que

la Escritura se cumpliese: Tengo sed.

29 Y estaba allí una vasija llena de vinagre; entonces ellos empaparon en vinagre

una esponja, y poniéndola en un hisopo, se la acercaron a la boca.- Juan 19: 28-29

Querido Salvador: Cuando escuchemos gritar "Tengo sed", deberíamos sacudir la

cabeza con incredulidad. Tú por tu palabra creaste todos los océanos de este

mundo. Tú, por una expresión de Tus labios, hiciste todos los lagos, ríos y arroyos

y es por esos mismos labios que las moléculas de agua de H2O se mantienen

unidas. Es inimaginable que ahora esos mismos labios, Tus labios, rezaran en

agonía “Tengo sed”. La gran ironía y la gran agonía son demostraciones de Tu

gran e incomparable amor por nosotros. yo puedo


“Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema

sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” - Matthew

27:45-46

Lord, This heart wrenching cry was because You were bearing all of our sins.

Your cry, Your heartbreak, Your separation from the Father made it possible for

me to never suffer the same. Hallelujah, What a Savior You are. I give thanks In

Your name. Amen

45 Y desde la hora sexta hubo tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora novena.

46 Cerca de la hora novena, Jesús clamó a gran voz, diciendo: Elí, Elí, ¿lama

45-46

Señor, este llanto desgarrador se debe a que llevaste todos nuestros pecados. Tu

grito, Tu angustia, Tu separación del Padre hizo posible que yo nunca sufriera lo

mismo. Aleluya, que salvador eres. Doy gracias en tu nombre. Amén

Day 44 – Thursday, April 1, 2021

“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, ‘It is finished,’ and he bowed his

head and gave up his spirit.” - John 19:30

Lord Jesus, You came into this world to do Your Father’s will. You came to be the

Word Incarnate, The ultimate communication of who God is. You came to be the

last Passover Lamb, the ultimate Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the

world. When 3pm came on Good Friday, You had experienced 6 hours on that

cross in agony bearing our sins, demonstrating Your and the Fathers love for us,

and being our substitute. Now in the ninth hour of the day redemption has been

accomplished, propitiation is complete, reconciliation has been made possible,

justification is a reality, The Old Testament pictures and promises have all been

fully brought to fruition. You have done everything humanly and divinely possible

to bring us, to bring me, to God and HALLELUJAH, IT IS FINISHED! In Your

name. Amen

Día 44

30 Cuando Jesús hubo tomado el vinagre, dijo: Consumado es. Y habiendo

inclinado la cabeza, entregó el espíritu.- Juan 19:30

Señor Jesús, viniste a este mundo para hacer la voluntad de tu Padre. Llegaste a ser

el Verbo Encarnado, la máxima comunicación de quién es Dios. Llegaste a ser el

último Cordero pascual, el último Cordero de Dios que quita el pecado del mundo.

Cuando llegaron las 3 de la tarde del Viernes Santo, habías experimentado 6 horas

en esa cruz en agonía cargando con nuestros pecados, demostrando tu amor y el del

Padre por nosotros y siendo nuestro sustituto. Ahora, en la novena hora del día, la

redención se ha realizado, la propiciación es completa, la reconciliación se ha

hecho posible, la justificación es una realidad, las imágenes y promesas del

Antiguo Testamento se han cumplido plenamente. Has hecho todo lo humana y

divinamente posible para traernos, para llevarme a Dios y a ALELUYA, ¡SE

ACABA! En tu nombre. Amén

Day 45 – Friday, April 2, 2021(Good Friday)

“Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commit

my spirit!’ And having said this he breathed his last. Now when the centurion saw

what had taken place, he praised God, saying, ‘Certainly this man was innocent!’”

- Luke 23:46-47

“Lord, thank You for Your amazing example. You’ve taught us how to live and

how to die. Lord, may I never lose sight of the importance of dying as well as

living fully surrendered to You. Lord, thank You that I can know that because of

You when I leave this life I’m simply moving home to my Father’s house forever.

May I always live in light of my future with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Día 45

46 Entonces Jesús, clamando a gran voz, dijo: Padre, en tus manos encomiendo mi

espíritu. Y habiendo dicho esto, expiró.

47 Cuando el centurión vio lo que había acontecido, dio gloria a Dios, diciendo:

Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.- Lucas 23: 46-47

“Señor, gracias por tu asombroso ejemplo. Nos has enseñado a vivir y a morir.

Señor, que nunca pierda de vista la importancia de morir así como de vivir

completamente entregado a Ti. Señor, gracias porque puedo saber que gracias a ti,

cuando deje esta vida, simplemente me mudaré a la casa de mi Padre para siempre.

Que pueda vivir siempre a la luz de mi futuro contigo. En el nombre de Jesus.

Day 46 – Saturday, April 3, 2021

So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen clothes with the spices, as is

the burial custom of the Jews. 41 Now in the place where he was crucified there

was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42

So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand,

they laid Jesus there. – John 19:40-42

Lord, Good Friday was a difficult day for You. You borne our sins and gave up

Your life for me. Saturday was a difficult day for Your disciples. It was a day of

despair. They placed all their trust in You. They may very well have felt hopeless

and helpless and like You had let them down. Help me Lord to always remember

on my “Saturday’s of Life” that Sunday’s coming. In Your name I pray. Amen

Día 46

40 Tomaron, pues, el cuerpo de Jesús, y lo envolvieron en lienzos con especias

aromáticas, según es costumbre sepultar entre los judíos.

41 Y en el lugar donde había sido crucificado, había un huerto, y en el huerto un

sepulcro nuevo, en el cual aún no había sido puesto ninguno.

42 Allí, pues, por causa de la preparación de la pascua de los judíos, y porque

aquel sepulcro estaba cerca, pusieron a Jesús.- Juan 19: 40-42

Señor, el Viernes Santo fue un día difícil para ti. Cargaste con nuestros pecados y

entregaste tu vida por mí. El sábado fue un día difícil para tus discípulos. Fue un

día de desesperación. Ellos depositaron toda su confianza en ti. Es muy posible que

se hayan sentido desesperanzados e indefensos y como si los hubieras defraudado.

Ayúdame Señor a recordar siempre en mi "sábado de la vida" que viene el

domingo. En tu nombre oro. Amén

Day 47 – Sunday, April 4, 2021 (Easter Sunday)

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where

Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are

above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden

with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will

appear with him in glory. – Colossians 3:1-4

Lord Jesus, thank you that not only died and was buried with You but that I am

risen with You to new life and that I am looking for Your return. Because You live

I live also. You are the resurrection and the life. In Your name I pray. Amen!!!

Día 47

1 Si, pues, habéis resucitado con Cristo, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está

Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.

2 Poned la mira en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.

3 Porque habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está escondida con Cristo en Dios.

4 Cuando Cristo, vuestra vida, se manifieste, entonces vosotros también seréis

manifestados con él en gloria.- Colosenses 3: 1-4

Señor Jesús, gracias porque no solo murió y fue sepultado contigo, sino porque

resucité contigo a una nueva vida y espero tu regreso. Porque tú vives yo también

vivo. Eres la resurrección y la vida. En tu nombre oro. ¡¡¡Amén!!!
