NJT’s Theatre KochavimAnansi and the Moss Covered Rock K-2nd gradeBy Ron Fink and John HeathBased on a West African tale, Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock is the story of a very tricky spider that discovers a magic rock. So when we celebrate the beginning of a new Hebrew month, the new moon, we are celebrating the potential of renewal in our lives. Nishmah’s monthly Rosh Chodesh women’s group meets in member’s homes, where we engage in ritual to mark the special time, learn something new, have fun, and share of ourselves. It’s a New Year. So Why Is It the Same Old You?10Q: Reflect, React, Renew at www.doyou10Q.com/stlouis Adult

The ten days between the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are oft considered a perfect period of reflection, an opportunity to look at where you’re at, where you’ve come from, and where you’re heading. Whether you’re religious or not, Jewish or not, introspective or not, literate or not, we invite you to take part in 10Q (www.doyou10Q.com\stlouis), an online series of questions, one a day for ten days. Answer the questions and email them to a secure online vault just after Yom Kippur; next year, before Rosh Hashanah, these same answers will be sent back to you for reflection, and the whole process will begin again.

Whether you do it once or become an annual 10Qer, we hope that in pondering and scribbling your answers, 10Q will help connect you to parts of yourself that often get lost in the midst of fast-paced, twenty-first century life.
