InventionPaper was invented in China by Cai Lun in 105 AD. It was one of the one of the four greatest inventions of the Chinese. He

was looking for a device to record events and important things.

How it is madePaper can be made from a variety of materials ranging from tree bark, hemp,

rags, etc. Cai Lun made paper by mixing finely chopped mulberry bark and hemp rags with water, mashing it till it was flat, and then pressing out the

water and letting it dry in the sun.

How Paper was used in Ancient China

Paper was mainly used for writing on. They would write on it with a black rock. After a couple years of using paper, people then used it to draw,

make clothes, make paper kites, umbrellas, books, and paper fans.
