What’s ISGC?

ISGC is the green chemistry’s leading event for scientists and industries to present their research findings and innovations, share their know-how and build a sustainable chemistry

The main objective of ISGC 2017 is to gather the most eminent scientists (public and private) involved in the field of green

chemistry to debate on the future challenges of Chemistry keeping in mind the problems of access to a sustainable energy,

the management of resources (carbon, water, metals, minerals), Human development, global warming, impact on the envi-

ronment and competitiveness of our Industry.

Invited plenary lectures (24 opinion leaders) and +280 oral communications selected from

the call for communications represent the core of the scientific program. A special issue in

Green Chemisry Journal will be published.

ISGC is the largest concentration of researchers and companies involved in sustainable chemistry research and develop-

ment available in one place during 4 days.

ISGC 2017 offers 3,500 sqm for exhibition area: 130 companies, academic institutions and leading research laboratories are

expected. Innovation sessions and 1-to-1 meetings are also organized in this exhibition area.

Set up 1-to-1 meetings with any one of the 900 attendees

ISGC 2017 has been thought as a cross-disciplinary platform and should offer to public and private

scientists an ideal platform for sharing fundamental knowledge with industrial research & develop-

ment stakeholders. In this context, ISGC creates the “Green Chemistry Challenge” with the objec-

tives to facilitate public-private and private-private partnerships, to present new challenges in R&D,

to detect talented young researchers, etc.

“Green Chemistry Challenge” is a global networking platform:

1-to-1 meetings

mentorship opportunities

On the continuation of the previous editions, ISGC 2017 will gather more than 900 attendees from

all around the world who will exchange on the most recent advances in the field of green chemistry.

Conference venue Who’s organizing?

With over 80,000 inhabitants, this port city on the Atlantic coast is situated halfway between Nantes and Bordeaux.

The Encan site is located close to the historic center, near the old harbourg, called now the «bassin des grands yachts».

La Rochelle

L I V E S C I E N C E

L’encan

The city of La Rochelle has for many years placed sustainable development at the heart of its policies and has

implemented many positive actions in the areas of health promotion, solidarity, social action, biodiversity, wa-

ter… but also in the area of town planning, construction and energy. The priority of La Rochelle is to reduce the

carbon footprint by acting daily in different areas, which is expressed by many actions from the management

of municipal buildings to town planning by way of public facilities, transport and travel.

The International Consortium on Eco-conception and renewable resources (INCREASE) is a

research center hosted by the CNRS (FR CNRS 3707). INCREASE is a network between public

laboratories, R&D centers and industrial companies involved in the field of green chemistry.

LiveScience is a creator of scientific events which aims to create links between acade-

mic research and the world of industry to overcome technological obstacles, facilitate the

emergence of new innovations and boost business activity.

The National Center for Scientific Research, or CNRS, is a public organization under the

responsibility of the French Ministry of Education and Research.

CNRS aims to:

Evaluate and carry out all research capable of advancing knowledge and bringing so-

cial, cultural, and economic benefits for society.

Contribute to the promotion and application of research results.

Develop scientific information.

Support research training.

Participate in the analysis of the national and international scientific climate and its

potential for evolution in order to develop a national policy.

It was built on the old fish market, place of memory of Rochelaise fishing. The Encan center, now called «La

Rochelle Congrès» has adopted an environmentally friendly and responsible approach, supported by the

ADEME, for its various events.
