The financial statement for themonth ending October opens with aclerical or more probably a typo-graphical error which may misleadthe superficial reader We are toldthat the current account balance onOctober SlBt amounts to 22449955That looks really nice and a largenumber of readers will throw downtheir paper and say bless mo soulthe treasury is all right The averago newspaper reader doesnt wadethrough columns of figures Hetakes the totals and is satisfied
