The Impact of Your Giving Heartfelt House Update September 10, 2019–February 14, 2020 “Thank you for helping us build the Heartfelt House. Your generosity lets families who may be emotionally and spiritually fragile know that we hold them close to our hearts. The guest house’s open layout, high ceilings, private rooms, two full kitchens and inviting outdoor space and children’s play area, is a physical reminder of PeaceHealth’s Mission to ease suffering and lovingly care not only for our patients, but also for their family members.” Mary E. Kingston, RN, FACHE Chief Executive PeaceHealth Oregon Network

They have the sweetest

volunteers and even sweeter

staff. Smiles and warm

The Heartfelt House, our patient family guest house on the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend campus, provides a tranquil, no-cost “home away from home” for out-of-town families while their loved ones are being cared for at our Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, or University District.

The Heartfelt House is a collaboration between PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & SW Washington, which will operate the facility.

This beautiful, welcoming home provides a place of comfort and healing for families who are facing trying times – the new parents of a fragile infant in our NICU, the grief-stricken loved ones of a trauma patient, and sometimes patients themselves, who have traveled from other parts of Oregon for surgeries or specialized care unavailable in their area.
