EXTRACT AIR ELEMENTS

Alongside the fan, extractair elements form the basisfor demand-optimised func-tion in central ventilationsystems. By equippingthem with varying air flowvolumes or time, motionand moisture control fulfil, the innovative extract airelements (AE) from Heliosare ideal for fulfilling require-ments in this area.

Acoustic data for extract air elements of series AEThe following sound levels are relevant for the extract air elements:– Sound power level for permanent air flow (Lw in dB (A))– Sound insulation between ducting system and ventilated room

(Dn,e in dB (A)).

This sound data is specified in the respective type table. They weremeasured according to the standard EN 13141.The sound insulation value can be increased by using attenuator “AESD”or “AESE” (accessories), which is to be positioned and simply insertedbehind the extract air element.Cross talk attenuators are available for further noise reduction (p. 505).

Demand-regulat-ed ventilation, e.g. for bath-rooms and toilets without win-dows. All elements in the sys-tem must have the same de-sign. Made of high quality poly-mer, colour: White.

FunctionAbluVent is operated via a lightswitch. The louvres open whenthe room is in use. Standardventilation is provided when theroom is not in use, a low air flowis extracted when the louvresare closed.

Advantages Energy saving. Low cost. Quick installation. Always an optimum solution. Delayed closure of approx. 5

minutes. Stepless adjustment of air flow

volume. Noiseless operation. Changeable filter to keep duct

system clean.

InstallationZTV valves can be easily in-stalled in existing supply airopenings. They are fixed toducting by push fit (with rubbergasket) or by three concealedfixing holes in the frame suppliedwith fixing screws.

FunctionThe thermostat operates auto-matically within a temperaturerange of –6 °C to +20 °C.Within this range air flow vol-umes between 0 and 30 m3/hare achieved conforming to DINguidelines. See performancediagrams on the right. In itsstandard setting the valve closescompletely at outside air tem-perature of approx. –4 °C.A minimum supply air rate isallowed by the 4 mm wide dis-tance clip. The initial setting ofthe valve can be changed man-ually by rotating the centre core. One full rotation equals to a vari-ance of 4 mm gap (see bluemarked areas in diagram).

Number of unitsThe number of supply air ele-ments necessary is to be de-fined according to DIN 1946,T.6 depending on the apartmentsize and wind force (see charton the right).

See performance dia-grams on the right. In its standardsetting the valve closes complete-ly at outside air temperature ofapprox. –4 °C. A minimum sup-ply air rate is allowed by the 4mm wide distance clip. The initial setting of the valve canbe changed manually by rotatingthe centre core. One full rotationequals to a variance of 4 mm gap(see blue marked areas in dia-gram).

InstallationSuitable for wall or ceiling open-ings. Telescopic duct should beinserted from outside and thecover grille should be screwedon. Duct to be cleaned and thevalve to be inserted from inside.

Special features – OperationUniversally adaptable tempera-ture controlled supply air unit. The energy saving, thermostaticsupply valve provides a continu-ous air exchange at highest effi-ciency.The supply air volume is con-trolled depending on the outsideair temperature, without anyelectrical connection. The supplyair is evenly distributed, filtered(class G 3) and attenuated.

Advantages Fully automatic, on demand airflow control.

 Maintenance free, no runningcost.

Individual air flow volume adjust-ment by rotating the centralcore.
