Principal Mark Schwarz from Thomas Jefferson Middle School introduced Kiara and outlined her outstanding qualifications. GIFT OF LIFE ANNUAL MEETING On Monday, October 27th, President Janice, Rod, and Sheila joined fellow district Rotarians in attendance at the annual Gift of Life Meeting in East Hanover. Attendees were updated on the various activities from the past year and the plans for the coming year. The keynote speaker for the evening was Dr. Rodrigo Soto, Pediatric Cardio- Thoracic Surgeon with the International Children’s Heart Foundation. Dr. Soto shared his experiences of saving children’s lives while serving on medical missions run by the International Children’s Heart Foundation around the world. Rockaway Rotary has generously supported GOL over the past 17 years, contributing over $18,000 to saving lives of children through life saving heart surgeries.
