The Honda Motor Company is a japanes based company. It’sPresident, CEO & Representative
Director isTakahiro Hachigo. And the global headquarters for the Honda Corporation are located in
Tokyo !apan. The ".#. headquarters for American Honda Motor Co Inc. are located in Torrance
California.
The Honda Motor Company $as founded by #oichiro Honda in %ctober &'(). He $as *ery
interested in automobiles from a small age so he used to tune cars and enter them into races
using his friend’s garage. As he gre$ up he decided to be in the automobile industry. He
once got a contract for supplying piston rings for major car maker Toyota. +ut unfortunately
he lost the contract as his products did not match the required quality. #o he $ent to *arious
factories in !apan looking for $ays to impro*e the quality of the engines by making efficient
piston rings.
#oon he $as able to find a highly automated process to produce high quality piston rings.
Toyota $as impressed by his product and bought it in &'(&. ,e-t he started a company
called Tokai #eiki in order to produce his products at a larger scale. #oon Toyota bought
(/ of the company and thus #oichiro and the officials at Toyota could built a lasting
business relation. +ut a series of calamities damaged large portions of his company and thisforced #oichiro to sell the remaining parts of his company to Toyota. In &'() he founded
Honda Technical 0esearch Institute to sell customi1ed bicycles $ith attached motors. He
had only &2 employees $ho $orked in a &3 sq ft. area.
In &'(' after years of persistence Honda and his team $ere able to release the Model 4
$hich $as the first complete motorcycle they had made $ith their o$n parts. #oon the
demand for this lo$ priced *ehicle increased and by &')( the Honda Company $as the
5orld’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles. They did not stop there but tried out different possibilities in that time period. In &')6 they $ere able to release their first e*er four $heel
*ehicle in the form of the T6) mini pick7up truck.
#oon they $ent on to e-pand their range of *ehicles and they produced their first car called
the #8 #ports Car. In &'9) they *entured into lu-ury car segment and released the *ery

successful Acura. In &''& they released the Honda ,#: #upercar $hich $as the first
*ehicle to incorporate the ;) engine $ith the latest *ariable7*al*e timing. Their success had
no limits here after as they kept inno*ating and started producing scooters engines
generators motors and pumps successfully.
Honda has the reputation of being the largest producer of internal combustion engines
reaching an impressi*e figure of &8 million in 2&2. It also is the eighth biggest automobile
manufacturer in the $orld an industry into $hich it had a *ery late entry. In 2&2 Honda
had more than <'' billion in re*enues out of $hich <6 $as the yearly profit. It has more
than &38 employees located in *arious parts of the 5orld. As of 2&6 it has released
more than thirty models of cars bettering its performance year after year.
=rom producing noisy scooters to making the finest cars on the planet Honda has come a
long $ay in e*ol*ing as a company. It has been on the *erge of sell out but has come back
strongly to cement itself as one of the biggest players in the international automobile
market. It has held its reputation of being the 5orld’s largest motorcycle manufacture since
it claimed that position in&')(. Today you cannot see many roads $ithout seeing a Honda
made *ehicle pass by. Honda has gone on to become a global superpo$er in the automobile
industry.

#omeone may say that Toyotas are more durable but $hen it comes to quality people’s opinion
is that Honda is the most high quality brand in >akistan. Toyota though comes at the second
and third surprisingly goes to Mitsubishi.

companies can get a better insight of $hat people think about their brand and $here do they
stand in the local market. The reason $hy $e see only Toyota Honda and #u1uki is the same
F+ig ThreeG. Had there been more dealerships out there for the middle class more interesting
and surprising $ould’*e been the response and this goes to the officials out there controlling the
ta-ation and other stuff like that keeping other automakers from establishing dealerships.
