LAST CHANCE FOR 2021 LOTTERY CALENDARS!

Marv & Gloria Rinkol have been instrumental in the last 5 years for going to various business-es all around our area, helping us sell lottery

calendars. Because of Covid limitations, there was no Lottery “Committee” and Marv & Gloria were not able to go out to the different businesses to sell the calendars. We are so grateful for all the volunteers that are selling after all the Masses and all the parishioners who have already helped out and bought calendars! In order to meet this year’s goal for Lottery calendars we need to sell about 500 more! This will exceed last year’s sales and also help our parish deficit! Our deadline is Monday, December 28! Lottery Calendars are $50 each and can be purchased in the Nar-thex after Mass and in the church office. The Lottery Calendar is a great fundraiser for our parish and gives you over 350 chances to win some money!

From our Pastor... A flourishing society begins with a husband and wife who embrace God, truth, good mor-als, a strong work ethic, etc. and pass these on to their children.

Despite our best efforts, children may choose the opposite. The family becomes a warzone of anger, frustration, separation, bitterness and alienation. Satan loves this and convinces us of other lies which lead to a 50% divorce rate, couples living together before marriage, birth control, abortion, out of wedlock births, same-sex marriages, and so on. Society weakens and cannot fully sustain itself. Government takes over. The Church, with the help of the Holy Spirit, is trying to turn all this around. Earlier this year, the Synod on the Family convened—and will do so again next year. Do we, as the family of God even care to change our hearts? We need the example of the Holy Family more than ever. Blessings,

Honra a tu Padre.

NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH FOR THE YEAR OF SAINT JOSEPH

Pope Francis announced a Year of St. Joseph Dec. 08 in honor of the 150th anniversary of the saint’s proclamation as patron of the Universal Church. The year begins Dec. 8, 2020, and concludes on Dec. 8, 2021, according to a decree authorized by the pope. The decree said that Francis had established a Year of St. Joseph so that “every member of the faithful, following his example, may strengthen their life of faith daily in the complete fulfillment of God’s will.”

Memorare to Saint Joseph Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unaided. Full of confidence in your power, I. fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not, O Guardian of the Redeemer, my hum-ble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.
