May, June, and July 2017 Below are actions taken at Holloman AFB during the month of May, June, and July 2017. Names are withheld when appropriate to the forum. Courts-Martial: A Senior Airman, 6th Attack Squadron, was court martialed for wrongful use of cocaine, MDMA, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms. The member pled guilty to the charge and its specifications. A military judge sentenced the member to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for three months, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. An Airman First Class, 49th Communications Squadron, was court martialed for wrongful use of cocaine. The member pled guilty to the charge and its specification. A summary court officer sentenced the member to be reprimanded, to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $500.00 pay per month for one month, and to be restricted to the limits of Holloman Air Force Base for two months. An Airman First Class, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron, was court martialed for wrongful use of cocaine and anabolic steroids. The member pled guilty to the charge and its specification. A military judge sentenced the member to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $500.00 pay, to perform hard labor without confinement for 30 days, and to be confined for 30 days. An Airman First Class, 49th Civil Engineer Squadron, was court martialed for wrongful use of cocaine, oxycodone, tramadol, and marijuana and wrongful distribution of cocaine and tramadol. The member pled guilty to the charge and its specifications. A military judge sentenced the member to be reprimanded, to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $1,000.00 pay per month for four months, and to be confined for four months. An Airman First Class, 635th Materiel Maintenance Squadron, was court martialed for wrongful use of cocaine, oxycodone, and marijuana. The member pled guilty to the charge and its specifications. A military judge sentenced the member to be reprimanded, to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit $1,066.00 pay per month for five months, to perform hard labor without confinement for three months, and to be confined for two months. Article 15 Actions: A Staff Sergeant, 54th Maintenance Squadron, received an Article 15 for violating a no-contact order and providing a false official statement. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of Senior Airman, 7 days extra duty, restriction to Holloman Air Force Base for 45 days, and a reprimand. A Senior Airman, 54th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, received an Article 15 for wrongful use of oxymorphone. The member received a reduction to the grade of Airman First Class and a reprimand. The member receive a suspended reduction to the grade of Airman First Class, a suspended forfeiture of $1,002.00 per month for two months, and a reprimand.     An Airman First Class, 49th Maintenance Squadron, was discharged for failure to meet minimum fitness standards.

    An Airman. 49th Maintenance Squadron, was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions. The member received a

    General discharge characterization.

    An Airman, 49th Operations Support Squadron, was discharged for drug abuse. The member received a General

    discharge characterization.

    An Airman, 635th Materiel Maintenance Squadron, was discharged for drug abuse. The member received an Under

    Other Than Honorable Conditions (UOTHC) discharge characterization.

    Tip of the Month:

    Sexual assault offenses, fraudulent or erroneous enlistment, civil court convictions, and drug abuse all trigger

    mandatory discharge processing unless there is an approved waiver. See AFI 36-3208, Chapter 6
