conversation between two actors, giving the effect of looking from one actor to the other.

Transitions

Definition• A film transition is a type of post production technique process of filming

editing and video editing by union scene or shots are combined • These transitions are usually to convey a tone or mood , suggest the

passage of time or separate parts of the story• cut= simple jump between two shots• Cross/fade=gradual fade• Fade= shade from black and white to colour• Wipe= pushes off screen

Graphic match

DefinitionA graphic match is a cut made to transition between two objects of a similar

shape, it is also used to link two objects metaphorically or to create continuity

Eye line matchDefinition

A term used to point to the continuity editing practice ensuring the logic of the look or gaze. In other words, eye line matching is based on the belief in mainstream cinema that when a character looks into off-screen space the spectator expects to see what he or she is looking at. Thus there will be a cut to show what is being looked at:objectviewanother character
