The drama room

• Here is the drama room, students who major in litterature can choose between English and Drama as their main subject. The school is one of the few in the region to have a drama class that is why many students who live quite far from the school want to study here.

The drama room

• Students can still do drama as an optional course and it allows them to get more points for their final exam in year 13.

• Several representations are given by the students every year .

• At the secondary school students can also do this course.

The school nurse is present in theschool all the week. She treats pupils and makes excusefor pupils who can’t practise sport at school. When pupils have to undergo a medical examination they go to the sick room : the scho ol nurse cheks their vaccinations,

… In the sick room, there are a room where she treats pupils, it’s a care room, two rooms with two beds where pupils can rest, the office of the school nurse and a room where are filed records and medicals files.

The career adviser

The career adviser is present in the school Wednesdays on mor-ning and Thurdays all the day.

We can make an appointment with her in her office to talk about academic counselling or careers guidance, to help us if we don’t know what to do. We can also look for informations in a room where there are a lot of documents, and that is near her office, in the library school.

Page 24: The high school. This is the entrance of Jean Moulin.

The social worker’s office

The social worker is present in theschool on Tuesdays and ThursdaysAll day and also every second Wednesdays.

She does favour for pupils and pupil’s family who are in destitute, if there are problems in the family, if they have economic problems or if those pupils have difficulties at school. To help those families, she welcoms them and pupils in her office to try to understand the causes of this problems and find solutions. . . .

Page 25: The high school. This is the entrance of Jean Moulin.

The social worker works with the students. She fights againsttruancy and the « being out » of school (when pupils show indifference to school). She works in team : she collaborates with the school doctor, the school nurse, the careers adviser for the studies, the pupils elected to represent their class (even if they don’t often come in her office because they are afraid of betray their classmates) and the accountant for economic problems (to help the family to find money so that their child may go on a trip for example).

The swimming-pool.

Page 27: The high school. This is the entrance of Jean Moulin.

Just near the school, we have a

swimming-pool. It’s composed of

2 pools. But it’s essentially for the

school.

Personnaly, I’m fond of swimming

but I prefer doing it in the sea.

The swimming-pool’s not big but

it’s a nice place for competitors.

There is a team in Châteaulin.

To conclude, if you come

here you will be able to

swim there! And moreover it’s

cheap!

The tech classThis is a classroom in the secondary school. Before I got into high school, I studied in that sort of classroom. This is one of my favorites ! I spent a lot of good hours and moments in that class. We can see some computers at the back of the classroom. On the left side, I made electronic door-keys for example and other things. We can already imagine the teacher and his students just by looking the picture!

The bus station

The bus stop is a very busy place (though not on the photo!).All students who come to school by bus in the morning and go home in the evening come here. They also come here at break times when they want to smoke. Indeed, French schools are non smoking areas. The bus station has become the only place where we can smoke. ---+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
