Since 1929, The Hawk has been the official student newspaper of Saint Joseph’s University. Located on City Avenue in Philadelphia, Saint Joseph’s University boasts a dynamic mixture of 5,400 undergraduate students from across the country and across the globe in both its College of Arts and Sciences and the Haub School of Business. The Hawk’s primary goal is to satisfy Saint Joseph’s University’s students’ need for unbiased news with timely and relevant coverage.
However, The Hawk’s audience is not limited to undergraduate students. Saint Joseph’s University also has 3,200 graduate, doctoral, and part-time students pur-suing degrees in over 40 programs. Over 100 alumni and families from across the country continue to support The Hawk by subscribing to receive the newspaper weekly.
The quality of the editorial content and the talent of The Hawk’s growing staff of editors, writers, and photographers is continually recognized. The Hawk is a member of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, and in the past five years, three staff members have received The Keystone Press Award, which recognizes journalism that provides relevance, integrity and initiative in serving readers. The Hawk’s writers have also been awarded The Ralph Flammino Memorial Scholarship. Our roster of past staff writers and editors include alumni who have used their ex-perience at The Hawk to attain careers at the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other reputable publications.
We thank you for considering The Hawk as the advertising medium between your organization and the Saint Joseph’s University community.
Sincerely,
Molly BrennanBusiness Editor
