Find out what HAIC has planned for its members in 2018 Presiding over the swearing in, Los Angeles Harbor Commissioner Anthony Pirozzi Anthony Pirozzi, Jr. was appointed to the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners by Mayor Eric Garcetti and confirmed by the Los Angeles City Council on October 8, 2013. Pirozzi currently serves as the director of systems integration, test and launch organization at the Boeing Satellite Development Center. He has worked for the Boeing Company for 26 years, building and launching communication satellites. A native San Pedran, Pirozzi’s active involvement in the community of San Pedro includes joining the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce in 2006, serving as the Chamber’s chairman of the Board of Directors from 2010 to 2012; president of Eastview Little League from 2009 to 2012; and columnist for San Pedro Today since 2009. He has also coached soccer, baseball, and basketball to local youth for more than 15 years. In 2011, he co-founded Scalawag Productions, a nonprofit teenage- to-young-adult-theatre company, to establish local theater art at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro. Pirozzi’s goals are to bring knowledge-based jobs to the LA Waterfront, remain competitive in the global goods movement industry, support local businesses/ property owners to improve local business districts, and inspire and motivate students to graduate from high school and achieve a higher education. Ultimately, his passion is to leave San Pedro a better place for future generations. Pirozzi was born and raised in San Pedro and graduated from San Pedro High School. He has a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering technology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a master’s degree in engineering from Loyola Marymount University. Pirozzi lives in San Pedro and believes that community is an extension of family, as is witnessed in 23 years of marriage to his wife Carolyn, and their three children, Antonio III, Vincent, and Luca.

Presiding over the swearing in, Los Angeles Harbor Commissioner Anthony Pirozzi
