Reading and Understanding the Operation and Maintenance Manual

Equipment operators regardless of the type of equipment they operate shall read and understand the Operation and Maintenance Manual prior to operating a machine, in accordance with the manufactur-er's instructions. Some hazards are more specific to some pieces of equipment, and these are listed in the safety section of the Operators Manual.

• Read the Operation and Maintenance Manual prior to operating a machine.

• Understand all operating, assembly and disassembly, servicing, and safety procedures prior to operating the equipment.

• Don’t wait until it’s too late! Ask as many questions during the initial task training as needed to become comfortable with the equipment.

The manufacturer has designed and built the equipment to be assembled, disassembled and operated in a certain manner. All of the technical information to safely operate the equipment can be found in the operators manuals.

W.O. Grubb has many types of equipment and no one person can possibly remember all there is to know about each one. That’s why we encourage everyone to read and follow the manufacturers rec-ommended operating and maintenance procedures.

Don’t be the person who is too proud to ask a question.
