29 July 2014 First, I added soil to
the pot. Then I generously watered the soil, waited a few minutes and added more soil once the water had been absorbed. I spread the seeds in the pot and covered them with one-fourth of an inch of soil and lightly watered it.

31 July 2014I walked outside to check on the plant and water it. I saw the first few sprouts! I counted six, though there may be more.

3 August 2014It's amazing how fast a plant can grow. Simply three days later, I walked out to go to the store and caught a glimpse of my plant. Many more sprouts have emerged and I hadn't watered it for three days, either. The other plants seem unaffected by it.

6 August 2014I watered my Marigold! Those many sprouts from three days ago have grown in height. I'd estimate that they are now an inch tall. The other plants still seem unaffected, though.

26 August 2014
The sprouts have grown slightly. I watered it and left it.

28 September 2014I walked outside, not intending on checking my plant, and I saw the first flower emerging from the plant! I was so excited as it'd been a month since I examined it other than a simple watering.

17 October 2014It has been about three months since I first planted my Marigolds. They are over four inches tall and two flowers are very visible. I also noticed another flower is beginning to bloom. It's been a great journey watching this little plant grow.
