Our ProjectThe project was localInform the kids about recycling and reusingWanted to show them what you can do with recycling products other than recycle. Ex. Games

PlanningOur two top ideas was Green Games and a tax breakWe decided on Green Games because it seemed more plausible for our short time spanAfter we decided that, we called Mrs. Roenker, the head PE teacher to talk about when to do it and what we wanted to do, and if we could do it at Providence.Obviously, she said yes!

We were always focused 3The Day BeforePrep on Martin Luther King Junior DayMade Recycling dog tags for kidsRecycling dig!Gathered, collected and prepped the recyclingmaterials

Crab Walking to Recycle1 hula hoop in the center, and six equal distance hula hoops from the centerMiddle had a bunch of recycling productsKids had to crab walk from their designated hula hoop to the center one

Recycling BasketballThree recycling cans were outKids threw the newspaper balls into the cansWhichever group got the most in the amounted time period wins!

Throw the RecyclingVoted the best game! Two mats set up in a zig-zagHalf the kids on one side, half on the otherThrow the recycling products at each otherTAKE A SHOWER!

THANKS!Thanks goes out to the staff at Providence Elementary for letting us use their teaching time for us to do our project. We also thank the teachers on the Cambridge team who helped guide us to doing this cool and entertaining project. Couldnt have done it without you!

ReflectionProblems:We didnt have enough materialsTiming the stations were off, because we were wrapped up in our activityOne game ended too quickly/was too easy for the kidsResults:The kids enjoyed it and we believe they throughly learned somethingWe hope they will spread the word about recycling and reusing to their friends, family an peers!

Thanks~The Green Team
