God gave Moses detailed instruction that was intended to be carried out precisely according to the word of God – Exodus 25:1
The Sovereign God of heaven has decreed the proper way in which He is to be worshiped. He is the only One that may determine what is true, spiritual worship – Exodus 25:8,9
To change the pattern is to change God’s word!

GOD COMMANDED…
Type of wood – v. 10
Dimensions – v. 10
Overlaid with gold – v. 11
Four rings in the four corners – v. 12
Golden staves to carry the ark – v. 13, 14
Instruction about the Table of Showbread – vv. 23-31
Instruction about the Golden Lampstand – vv. 31-34
The Gospel Pattern
There is a new and better covenant that has been given even more careful attention, and direction by the Lord!
The Old Testament served as a pattern of the true spiritual realities of the new and better covenant – Hebrews 8:1-6
Are we going to live by the pattern revealed by the New Testament?

The NT church was made up of elders, deacons,
and saints – Philippians 1:1
Elders are to rule over the flock which is among
them – 1 Peter 5:1-3
If there is any greater governing group then it is
not according to the pattern revealed in Scripture!

The Pattern for Worship
The NT church worshiped upon the first day of the
week – Acts 20:7
They partook of the Lord’s Supper upon the first
day of the week – Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:26
Saints sang and made melody in their hearts
without the accompaniment of instruments –
Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16

The Pattern for Salvation
Hear the words of salvation – Acts 11:14
Believe unto righteousness – Romans 10:10
Repent unto life – Acts 11:18
Confess unto salvation – Romans 10:10
Be baptized in water for the remission of sins –
Acts 2:38
This is a repeated, established, proven, and
binding pattern – Acts 2:41; 8:12, 36-38; 10:48;
18:8; 22:16
