God first made us righteous then legally declared us to be righteous. ”He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” 2 Corinthians 5:21 3 Reconcilation: To restore the relationship. ”And although you were formerly alienated, and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy, blameless and beyond reproach” Colossians 1:21-22 4 Propitiation: God’s just anger was satisfied by Christ’s sacrifice. ”being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith” Romans 3:24-25 5 Regeneration: God made us spiritually alive with Christ. ”When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him , having forgiven us all our transgressions, having cancelled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us, and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross” Colossians 2:13-14 Man God 4.
