LET US PRAY

•Our Heavenly Father we thank You for your Grace and Mercy upon our lives. We acknowledge Your precious Holy Spirit as our Teacher whom will teach us all things (John 14:26). •We acknowledge that we can’t learn the truths of Your Word by our intellect but they have to be revealed to us by Your Holy Spirit in our hearts.



LET US PRAY

•Father we ask that your Holy Spirit ministers to us and reveals the truths of your Word to us as we go thru these slides. This we ask Father, in the name of your only begotten Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•The Question – Is there a right way to Fight the Good fight of Faith?•Response – As it is in the natural so it is in the spiritual. There is a right and a wrong way to fight.•Understanding Our Foundation – •1st Corth 3:11 – For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. He is the Truth (John 14:6), He is the Word (John 1:1-5), He is the Chief Cornerstone (Eph 2:20-21)



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•Understanding The New Birth - • 2nd Corth 5:17 – Therefore if anyone is in

Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.• He is a new creation – A new spirit being,

however, the physical body remains unchanged at this point.

• What are we to do with the physical body? Bring it into subjection to the inward man (our spirit) 1st Corth 9:27

• How? By the renewing of our minds 1st Peter 2:2



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•Understanding Our Place in Him – • In Him we have redemption Heb 9:12 – Not

with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption

• Eph 1:7-8 – In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•Understanding Our Place in Him – • Redemption from What? Galtn 3:13 – Christ

has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).

• In Him we are blessed Eph 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•Understanding Our Place in Him – • In Him we have the gift of righteousness Rom 5:17 – For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

•And have also become the righteousness of God 2nd Corth 5:21



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•Understanding Our Place in Him – • In Him we have the gift of salvation Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith (in Christ), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.• In Him there is no condemnation Rom 8:1 – There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.



UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST JESUS•Understanding Our Place in Him – • In Him we Triumph 2nd Corth 2:14 – Now

thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.• In Him we are Seated in Heavenly Places Eph 2: 5-6 - Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.



INSIGHTS ON HOW TO ACT ON GOD’S WORD IN FAITH?

•Faith is an Act and comes by Hearing God’s Word –•Rom 10:17 – So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.

•We have to act on God’s Word to get the desired result James 2:26 – For as the body without the spirit is dead so faith without works is dead




•Faith is an Act and comes by Hearing God’s Word –• James 1:22 – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

• Faith works through Love – Galtn 5:6 – For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.




•Learn To Walk in Victory – •1st John 4:4 – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

•Exercise your authority in Love - Math 28:18-20, Luke 10:19-20




•Have a good understanding of the adversary•1st Peter 5:8-9 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.




•Have a good understanding of the adversary•Eph 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.




•Put on your Whole Amour•Eph :13 – Therefore take up the whole amour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…:•Helmet of salvation, Shield of Faith, The breastplate of righteousness, The belt of truth, The Gospel of Peace and the Sword of the Spirit




•Remember the Goal•Make disciples of all Nations – Math 28:19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

• Bring Glory to our Father in Heaven – Math 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.




•Remember the Goal•To be able to assert “I have finished the race” – 2nd Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. •Recall however, that faith works by love (Galtn 5:6) and love never fails (1st Corth 13:8)



SUMMARY

• In summary, the fight of faith is the only fight a Christian should be involved with. If we are in any other fight we are in the wrong fight.•The faith fight is a good fight because we are fighting from a position of victory which we have in Christ Jesus and the promises which in Him are Yes and in Him Amen.•Faith works through love and the outcome;•Heaven on Earth!



RECEIVING THE GIFT OF SALVATION •Are you saved? Have you received God’s gift of salvation (Eph. 2:8)? I encourage you to accept the Lord’s precious gift of salvation which is freely available to the whole of mankind.•Faith in Jesus Christ is primarily what is required to be saved. The bible tells us for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). As a result, the whole of mankind deserves to be separated from God eternally (Rom 6:23).



RECEIVING THE GIFT OF SALVATION •However, our Father loves us dearly and as such he sent His only begotten son to die in our place (John 3:16-17) so that we may be saved and has through Christ reconciled us back to Himself (2nd Corth 5:18). • It is not His desire that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2nd Pet 3:9) and accept His precious gift of salvation. If you would like to accept this gift please say the following confession.



RECEIVING THE GIFT OF SALVATION •Father I come to You in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He died for my sins and was raised from the dead for my justification according to the scriptures. I believe that because of His death, burial and resurrection, I am set right with God. So I receive Him(Jesus) in my heart as my saviour and confess Him with my mouth as my Lord. Thank You, Lord.
