When our board [asked]: Do we really want to do this? I was able to go to the Playbook and say: This is doable! It gave our board the confidence to move forward. What Worked: Advanced Practices Webinars Excellent method to introduce other community foundations to sustainability practices Can invite others in organization to watch and learn Can listen to the recording and access the information on demand at a more convenient time Corporate sponsorship and organizational branding topics most relevant What Worked: PLE Monthly Calls Case studies from others during the calls Practical tips for implementing Giving Days Calls were facilitated 1-1 coaching calls What Worked: FB Group Place to continue conversation and share resources between calls Ability to ask questions, offer and get answers Networking with others Building professional relationships offline Facilitation provides value Decrease frequency of conferences calls Target CFs that are Seasoned Giving Day Hosts and have nuanced conversations about advanced practices or identify new ideas for experimentation. Keep updating the Playbook by incorporating resources and knowledge shared on calls, Webinars, or the Facebook Group. Ensure someone is facilitating and continuing conversations on Facebook and serving as the group memory. Improvements to PLE Are there sufficient Peer Learning Opportunities for CFs to learn from Peers? We would absolutely be interested in learning about other programs that can be implemented the other 364 days of the year. I think there could be more opportunities for community foundations to learn from peers on a variety of topics. I would welcome Knight Foundation's leadership to bring this to fruition.
