Providing a rich learning environment The Lauriston community has always been generous supporters of the School and our students. Thanks to people like you, the range of academic and co-curricular programs has been diversified and additional facilities and educational resources have been provided to create a bespoke learning experience for every student. Gifts from the school community have also established an endowment fund for scholarships, providing young women from diverse backgrounds and interests with the opportunity to experience a Lauriston education, pursue their dreams and enrich our learning community.
YOU can give a young woman a future filled with opportunity.

THE GIFT OF A LAURISTON EDUCATION THE GIFT OF OPPORTUNITY IN ACTION
Many of those girls who have received scholarship
support are now helping to shape the future,
successfully paving their way in a diverse range of fields.
Women such as Manasa, who chose to pursue
a career in medicine in order to further the
understanding of neuroscience and is about to
present her first research paper on neurosurgery
at a conference in Amsterdam. In her spare
time Manasa is a member of Doctors for the
Environment; a passion that was ignited whilst she
was at Howqua. And Penny, who, inspired by her
involvement in Lauriston’s Music program, studied
both music and language at university before
completing her teaching qualification and has just
commenced her career as a qualified music teacher.
The Lauriston Foundation currently offers one
all-round excellence scholarship (the Lauriston
Foundation Scholarship) and is building the
capacity to fund a second scholarship to
support a young woman to pursue her creative
talents (the Lauriston Foundation Creative
and Performing Arts Scholarship). Both
scholarships are needs-based, going to girls
who could not otherwise afford a Lauriston
education. The donations we receive are
carefully invested and managed, with an annual
drawdown used to fund these scholarships
in perpetuity. So the gift you give today will
benefit young women now and in the future.
How can YOU give?
By choosing to contribute to our
Scholarship Fund you are giving a young
woman the opportunity to undertake Years
10-12 at Lauriston and giving her the skills
and abilities she will need to shape the
future. If we can together raise $90,000 for
the Scholarship Fund, you will enable one
girl to be enriched by a Lauriston education
and give her the gift of opportunity.
Or talk to us about establishing a named
scholarship – either for a fixed term or in
perpetuity. You can choose to establish a
scholarship by making a donation today or
you may wish to establish a scholarship in
the future by leaving a bequest.
You can also choose to give a gift to the
Building Fund, the Library Fund or the
Education Fund. Donations to the Building
Fund, the Library Fund and the Scholarship
Fund are tax deductible.
All donations – small and large – combine
to deliver an impact and are very much
appreciated. We acknowledge all our
donors by name only.
YOUR SUPPORT IN ACTION Thanks to your generosity our 2018 Annual
Appeal raised just over $88,000. As a result,
we grew our Scholarship Fund and ensured the
continuation of support for a young woman’s
Lauriston education. We also raised funds to
support the development of our new Sports and
Health Precinct, and our girls benefited from
additional digital and print resources.
