The firm have applied for issue of Duplicate copy of theCustoms copy of the above licence on the ground that theoriginal customs copy of the licence has been lost /misplacedafter having been partially utilised to the extent of Rs. 16,142against the said licence. In support of their contention, thefirm have filed an affidavit.

Having been satisfied that the customs copy of the originallicence No, P/S/1785338/C/XX/55/M/39-40 dated 5-4-75has been lost/misplaced, it has been decided to issue dupli-cate customs copy of licence to the firm to utilise thebalance value to the extent of Rs. 8,271.

They have applied for issue of Duplicate licence(both copies) of the said licence on the ground that theoriginal licence has been lost and is not traceaole. It hasfurther been stated that the licence has not been registeredwith any Customs Authority and not utilised at all.

2. In support of their contention, the licensee have filed anaffidavit on stamped paper duly sworn before a Notary Public,Madras. I am accordingly satisfied that the original licencehas been lost by the firm. Therefore, in exercise of the powersconferred under sub-clause 9(cc) of the Import (Control)Order. 1955 dated 7-12-1955, as amended, the said originallicence No. P/OG/2421849 dated 7-9-76 Issued to M/».Repute Tractor and General Engineering Pvt. S.O. 383.—Whereas it appears to the Central Governmentthat it is necessary in the public interest that for the trans-port of petroleum from Snlnya Tort in Gujarat to Mathurain Uttar Pradesh Pipelines should be laid by the Indian OilCorporation Limited.

And whereas it appears that for the Purpose of layingsuch pipelines, it is necessary to acquire the Right of Userin the land described In the schedule annexed hereto ;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the Powers conferred bysub-section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum Pipelines (Ac-quisition of Right of U3cr in land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962),the Central Government hereby declare its intention to ac-quire the right of user therein ;

Provided that any person interested in the said land may,within 21 days from the date of this notification, object tothe laying of the pipelines under the land to the CompetentAuthority, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Salaya-Koyali-Mathura Pipeline Project, B-18, Shiv Marg, Baripark, Jai-pur-6.

And every person makinfi such an objection shall alsostate specifically whether he wishes to be heard in personor by a legal practitioner.
