I would like to start by saying thank you for your interest in The Gawler Foundation. As CEO, a large part of my time is spent trying to access funding for our healing programs – regrettably we still receive no government support. It is only through the kindness of good friends such as yourself, that we can continue to do our important work helping people with serious illness. Thank you. As we approach the end of a year which has been difficult for so many, I thought you might like to hear some good news for a change. I write to you now to tell you the true story of one woman’s inspirational journey as she battled with cancer and came away emotionally stronger and more determined than ever to make her life count. It is a story of one person’s remarkable courage and hope. But in a way it is your story too as none of the support she relied upon from The Gawler Foundation would have been possible without the support of friends like you.
