The 32G is ideal for offshore fishing where speeds between 15-20 mph are a requirement to get out on the ocean and enjoy a range greater than 200 miles. The 32G features clean, small, fuel-efficient 30hp Four Stroke gas engines from Tohatsu that are also ultra low in emissions.Tohatsu's 30hp outboards are truly innovative. This 30hp model uses Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) technology, allowing for quicker starts in all weather conditions, quieter operation, better acceleration and automatic adjustments in elevation changes.The 30hp also incorporates the industry's first battery-less EFI system. Conventional EFI models must generate their power from the battery through the key switch. However, the Tohatsu system differs in that it receives its voltage directly from the alternator, allowing the engine to be started by the pull rope or the electric starter. The Tohatsu 30hp includes the rope start as standard equipment on all electric start models. The CD ignition system on the 30 is especially designed forimmediate starting in all sea and weather conditions.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN OUTBOARDYou can power the 32G with your favorite brand of outboard. While we recommend the Tohatsu 30hp Four Stroke outboards for maximum ecological/fuel efficiency, the 32G has been successfully tested with twin Suzuki 40hp outboards and can certainly accommodate larger outboards if speed is more critical than fuel efficiency. Blue Planet is all about "Setting the Environmental Standard," however, the size and brand of your outboard motors is all up to you.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe unique Blue Planet catamaran design by Gene Carletta was inspired by John Conser's Warrior 29 and naval architect Jeremy Laundergan tuned the semi-displacement hull design into a slippery fast .599 prismatic coefficient. The boat is modular and fully demountable into three pieces. This provides for easy "road-legal" ground transportion and also fits into a standard 40 foot shipping container for economical delivery to any location in the world.Trevor Sherrick of Calyber Boats, is the official builder for Blue Planet Catamarans and his 14,000sq.ft. manufacturing facility is located in Edenton, NC, right next to the airport off of Albemarle Sound.As one of the most innovative "green" boat builders in the world, Trevor uses an incredibly efficient and environmentally clean fiberglass building process. He does state-of-the-art vacuum infusion when creating the hulls and centerdeck so that there are no chemicals emitted into the air and any unused fiberglass is recycled. Nothing is wasted. Blue Planet owner, Gene Carletta, has over 40 years of boating experience and has designed the 32Electric and 32 Hybrid as extremely versatile platforms to meet the needs of multihull boat lovers around the globe.

Hoping to find propulsion that would meet his expectations, Blue Planet founder Gene Carletta said he was "ecstatic" to come upon Torqeedo's Twin Cruise electric motors.
