OUR GLOBAL NETWORK

We endeavor to review applications and feedback from the first-round interviews and to make decisions on call back offers within one week of the candidate’s interview.

Candidates will have the opportunity to interview with partners, senior associates and junior associates.

Following the interviews, the candidate’s application and interview feedback will be evaluated by the London personnel committee for prompt decision on an offer for placement in our summer program.

THE CALL BACK PROCESS

In London we host a summer associate program for US law students who are in their second year of law school who seek to gain exposure to our cross-border securities and finance practice. We offer an opportunity that is unique and well suited to US-qualified attorneys who seek a career outside of the US with an international corporate focus. Those offered a place on the summer associate program will join the London team for up to 12 weeks in the summer.

Our work addresses the US legal issues that arise in the context of corporate transactions originating outside of the United States. As such, our attorneys work alongside attorneys from different jurisdictions. The intersection of multiple bodies of law requires a great deal of creativity and innovation-frequently our attorneys are presented with the challenge of addressing matters of first impression and they often do so while temporarily residing in any number of countries throughout the world. We seek attorneys who are willing to push themselves in the face of such challenges. The professional rewards are substantial as our deals command the attention of both the legal and business worlds.

While there are no language requirements for employment in our London office, we welcome candidates with fluency in a second language.

THE INTERNATIONAL US SECURITIES PRACTICE AND TEAM

Our international US securities practice

In our London, Hong Kong, Moscow and Singapore offices we employ US-qualified attorneys to be part of our corporate practice. In each of these offices, we have a team of US-qualified securities attorneys that advises on a full range of cutting-edge corporate transactions, with particular expertise in large international capital markets transactions (including equity, equity-linked, investment grade and high-yield debt offerings), as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

We have advised the world’s top investment banks, including Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and UBS. We have advised on deals in many different countries, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the UK and the US.

Our international US securities team

Our London-based US securities practice led by Tom O'Neill and Dinesh Banani, our Hong Kong and Singapore-based US securities practice, by Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan, our Moscow-based US securities practice by Evgeny Zelensky despite being divided by geography, work closely with one another on a regular basis. The US-qualified associates in our international offices are graduates of the leading US law schools. Our associates all share a global perspective and welcome the opportunity to refine their practice of the US securities law while working outside of the US. The range of language capabilities in our US securities teams is exceptional.
