Capability in bridge‑buildingHow you get there makes all the difference. www.doka.com
The advantages are there for the takingThe facts decide.
Doka is firmly committed to building its formwork-technology lead. This is why it keeps on developing measures to boost construction efficiency, and energetically putting these into practice. Firstly in formwork systems, and secondly in the technical services to go with them. A Doka formwork solution is always a package that gives our customers tangible benefit and added value. We have a client-orientated mindset and 'build bridges' to the goals that our customers have.
As a pathbreaking formwork manufacturer, we take an all-encompassing view of the construction sequence. Formwork planning and formwork statical calculations are just as much a part of our spectrum of services as are formwork pre-assembly and the subsequent return procedures for rented formwork. Only a seamless, end-to-end formwork concept will deliver the best results. The mere fact of dealing with just one partner for all the formwork ensures that the interfaces are well co-ordinated and work together smoothly.
Bridge-building makes particularly exacting demands in terms of construction-engineering and statical knowledge, quality and precision. Our experience as a formwork partner stands on firm pillars.

The bridge from knowledge to experienceOur capabilities have a wide span.
We focus on the formwork-engineering challenges right from the design phase. Even at this early stage, we start contributing our knowledge to enable the works to be carried out swiftly, efficiently and economically. We bring much more to the table as well: the solution, in terms of the right formwork system.
Pylons and piers
Our extensive planning expertise and high-performing crane-climbed and automatic climbing formwork systems can handle great variability in the design of piers and pylons, of no matter what geometry, height and dimensioning.
Shoring towers
Cost-effective planning and on-time delivery of materials-optimised shoring scaffolds for transferring high loads from bridge superstructures safely and economically.
Cantilevering
Outstanding cost-efficiency and rapid equipment availability, made possible by Doka's rentable all-in-one system. Also, high certainty regarding the planning and execution, thanks to thorough project support from Doka, taking in everything from detailed planning to co-ordination with the superstructure designer to on-site support by the Competence Centre for Cantilever Construction.
Composite bridges
Cost-effective solutions for widely differing bridge geometries are achieved by using a rentable, variable, all-in-one system, and by the comprehensive project support provided by the Composite Bridge Competence Centre.
Launching‑girder equipment
Project-specific planning and pre-assembly of high-performing formwork systems, and our long-standing col-laboration with leading suppliers of launching-girder equipment, mean smooth, efficient construction progress.
Incremental launching
Project-specific planning and pre-assembly of variable formwork systems for casting-yard construction, with practical formwork closing/opening logic for time- and cost-optimised workflows.
Arched bridges
Extensive planning services, and rentable formwork solutions that can be specifically tailored to the statical situ-ation of each superstructure, for optimised load transfers and for ensuring that the project progresses to plan.

Project Development Stage
The stage in which decisions are taken based on professional advice and consulting:
detailed analysis of the initial situation
identifying the risks applying to planning, execution and costs
selecting the construction method
Concrete Construction Stage
The stage in which the formwork-engineering resources are optimally deployed with assistance from experi-enced Doka Formwork Experts:
co-ordinating with superstructure designer
shop drawings incl. statical calculations
ready-to-Use Service
transport logistics
field service (Doka Formwork Instructor, formwork pre-assembly, ...)

Closer to the goal, a stage at a timeWith Doka, active project support is a 'given'.
The aim of all Doka's preliminary services is to achieve greater efficiency by providing transparently costed and optimised formwork concepts. With our active project support, we fulfil this aim in each successive stage of a project. As early as in the Project Development Stage, our know-how and expertise give our customers the basis on which to take well-founded decisions.
The sooner the Doka technicians start inputting their knowledge and experience into the project, the more efficiently it can then be carried out. In each of its stages. And by staying with the project all the way until it is successfully completed, Doka builds long-term partnerships with its customers.
Bidding Stage
The stage in which the overall frame-work is defined:
selecting the optimum construction methods and formwork solution
determining the commissioning quantities
bid planning, incl. bills of materials
binding bid prices for rental and purchase
Project Mgmt. Planning Stage
The stage in which the forming operations are organised for greater efficiency with the aid of optimised formwork concepts:
specifying the commissioning quantities
co-ordinating lead-times and handover deadlines
logistics concept
Project Close‑out Stage
The stage in which the forming assignment is satisfactorily closed out with professional support and a high degree of transparency:
formwork dismantling
return of rented formwork
return delivery
cleaning and rehabilitation
jointly handled close-out
Success of project
With our project-specific formwork solutions and a range of service offerings that are geared to the needs of the project, we put our customers' project-success on a firm footing and build long-term partnerships.

Flexibility as a systemComplex structures. Complete solutions.
Doka's range of formwork-technology offerings is among the largest and most versatile on the market. This has a lot to do with the modularly designed systems. And this, in turn, is based on decades-long experience of many different construction assignments in many different countries, across the entire architectural spectrum. What all the various Doka systems have in common is superior safety standards coupled with the very greatest efficiency and ease of handling.
Automatic climbing formwork SKE plus
Aids construction of technically demanding bridge pylons with its great adaptability to widely varying layouts and inclinations.
Load‑bearing tower Staxo 100
Safe shoring of high loads and excellent adaptability to different layouts, made possible by high load-bearing capacity and variable inter-frame spacing.
DokaShore shoring system
Safe, economical shoring of high loads (e.g. from pre-cast concrete members) is made possible by this rentable modular system with a load-bearing capacity of up to 430 kN per strut.
Cantilever forming traveller (CFT)
Smooth, safe construction progress is facilitated by this rentable all-in-one system comprising both the supporting structure and the formwork, with integrated working platforms and ladderways.
Composite forming carriage
High adaptability to different bridge geometries, and controlled con-struction workflow thanks to a modular system concept consisting of rentable standard components, enabling a weekly casting cycle.
Bridge edge beam formwork
Great variability and efficiency for widely differing project require-ments, achieved by a broad product line ranging from a simple single bracket all the way up to overslung or underslung bridge-edge forming wagons.
Large‑area formwork Top 50 for launching‑girder equipment
Excellent cost-efficiency, as the system adapts easily to complex cross-sections and different loads.
Large‑area formwork Top 50 for incremental launching
A versatile modular system that adapts economically to many very different types of casting yard.

We don't go in for superlatives. Even though we do like to point out the exceptional dimensions of our references, and in so doing, the achievements of our formwork technicians. The quality of our work lies in how it is rated by our customers, and in their satisfaction.

The world is getting smaller all the timeBehind every structure is a network.
The closer-meshed a net, the more effective it is. Doka's network, with over 160 worldwide sales and logistics locations, is no exception. If you want a local presence, you need local locations. Wherever our customers are, that's where you'll find our formwork-technology capability at work, and that's where our formwork systems are rapidly available.
Important notice: Always observe all relevant safety regulations (e.g. as issued by construction-industry employee safety organisations) applying to the use of our products in the country in which you are operating. In addition, the User Information booklets (Instructions for Assembly and Use), which contain information on standard system set-up and on compli-ant utilisation of Doka formwork systems, must also be observed. The illustrations in this brochure show the situation during formwork assembly and are therefore incomplete from the safety aspect. It could be dangerous to combine our formwork equipment with other manufacturers’. If you intend to combine different systems, please contact Doka for advice first.
