Welcome Parents and Angels!

Our summer vacation passed much too quickly; but Mrs. Martin and I are ready to welcome you back and start a full school year with our very special students!

One Big Change!

We will allow students who wish a calm down period an opportunity to do so this school year during their Leisure/Sensory time after lunch.

If you wish your child to use a mat: Please provide a personal mat for use on the floor.

You may provide a small pillow and sheet if you wish.

Changes……….

If you recall the Great Snow Sleep-over in February, you will remember that we slept on hard desks and harder floors. That was not a pleasant experience for those of us who slept at FSMS. It would have been a lot nicer with mats!

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to wash and dry their PE clothing at school as a part of their adaptive life skills instruction. Please provide TWO sets of PE shorts/pants, socks and tops so we may rotate their attire. Students will learn to wash, dry and fold their things and be able to dress out daily for PE, without having the excuse of forgetting items at home.

Parents will still have to ensure students are wearing athletic gym shoes, unless you have a pair of shoes to leave at school.
