INTERNATIONAL KEYNOTESPEAKER:
Professor Craig Johnson graduated in 1989and after a spell in small animal practice, hecompleted a residency is Small AnimalAnaesthesia. He obtained his RCVS Diplomain Veterinary Anaesthesia in 1992 and aftera time as a locum lecturer in Pretoria, SouthAfrica returned to the UK and gained a PhDfrom Cambridge University. From 1996 –2001 Craig was Lecturer in VeterinaryAnaesthesia at Bristol University, UK. Craigis also a ECVAA diplomate. In April 2001 hemoved to Massey University and is nowProfessor of Veterinary Neurophysiology.

ECG Workshop
Review and update your 3 lead ECGinterpretation skills. Learn how to detectsome of the major cardiac arrhythmias, theirinfluence on the cardiovascular system andwhen and how to treat them while thepatient is under anaesthesia. Multiple casescenarios will be discussed.
Capnography Workshop
Take your monitoring to the next level withcapnography! Review the basic function ofthe capnograph and work through multiplecase scenarios to identify capnographfeatures and suggest appropriatetreatments.
Pulse oximetry/Hypothermia Workshop
Learn why pulse oximetry is the mostvaluable pieces of monitoring equipmentavailable and discuss the importance ofperioperative temperature monitoring aswell as present strategies for preventing andtreating hypothermia.
Blood pressure Workshop
What’s new in arterial blood pressuremeasurement? Review one of the mostuseful measures of cardiovascular functionusing case scenarios and demonstratingdifferent techniques.

Both Saturday and Sunday:
Early bird fee: $850 for veterinarians and$700 for nurses (closing March 27th 2015)
Full fee: $950 for veterinarians and $800for nurses
Saturday lectures only: $400veterinarians and $325 for nurses
Student fee: $90 for lectures only onSaturday
Sunday workshops only: $500 for bothveterinarians and nurses
