Film and you

• What is your experience of film? • What types of films do you like?• Do you ever watch films outside of your

‘comfort zone’? Why/why not?• What are your top 3 favourite films? Explain

why.• What is it about watching a film that you like?• Do you prefer to go to the cinema or watch at

home? Why?

Booklets

• These are yours to keep – but I will keep hold of them when you don’t need them!

• Keep your notes together and make sure you bring any handouts to every lesson – everything will go onto the blog, but you must also make sure you bring handouts with you, in case we need to use them!

Collage

• You will be creating a film collage, based on your film history.

• It should contain a selection of films that you have watched from childhood to present day

• It could contain different genres• It should have quotes on that mean something

to you (from a film!)

• Print out all the pictures/words/ideas you need – but I would like you to stick them/overlap them onto A3 paper/card to create your collage

• This should build up your film history and identity!

• This will need to be finished for homework, ready for a specific lesson… as I want you to present them back to the rest of the class!

• When presenting them back, explain:

- What made these films memorable to you- Why/how they have made an impact on you- Has your style/choice of genre changed as you

have aged? Why/why not? - What made you watch the film in the first place?- How you watched the film – alone? With

friends/family? At home/cinema/DVD/streamed?
