The Fatherhood Cycle (In anticipation of “Father’s Day.”) 4 years: “My Daddy can do anything.” 7 years: “My dad knows a lot, a whole lot.” 12 years: “Oh, well - naturally - Father doesn’t know that either.” 14 years: “Father? Hopelessly old-fashioned.” 21 years: “Oh, that man is so out-of-date. What did you expect?” 25 years: “He knows a little bit about it - but not much.” 30 years: “Maybe we ought to find out what Dad thinks.” 35 years: “Let’s ask Dad what he would do before we make a decision.” 40 years: “I wonder what Dad would have thought about that?
He was pretty smart.” 50 years: “My Dad knew absolutely everything.” 60 years: “I’d give anything if Dad were here so I could talk this over
with him. I really miss him.”
We are sad to report that our
summer camp at Refreshing Mountain
has been cancelled for this year.
Be listening for a possible “family
camp” for our church family. We will
let you know as soon as possible.
Our “Ministry House” has been getting a much needed face lift! Thanks to John Shallenberger. Be sure to tell him we appreciate all the hours he has worked.
REMINDER: The Clothes Closet and Household Ministry will not be open until September 2020. That includes accepting donations.
You likely know the lyrics quite well:
“My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand. All other ground is sinking sand.”
Our days are days of anxiety, turmoil, evil and upheaval. We need a Rock
to stand upon. The apostle Paul tells us .
Jesus is indeed the Rock our world needs to be standing upon. It’s up to
us to sound out that truth!
JESUS is our ROCK! (Sing it---All other ground is sinking sand!)
Wonderfully Made God made you and all that exists. His creation is wonderful beyond words!
When sin marred his perfect creation, our Creator did not abandon us, did not give up on us, did not reject us. In fact, he is at work -right now-remaking, restoring us.
Our God, you see, is also our Savior - in Jesus Christ. How wonderful!
Be inspired by these truths as you study God’s Word this week.

Behavior Becoming A Believer - Romans 12:9-21 9Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceable with all men. 19Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20Therefore “If you enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
