The Ensemble Project
Employee Assembly
April 15, 2009
Ensemble is…
A university project to deliver new email, calendar, and related services
– Faculty and staff:Email and calendar provided through Exchange starting Sept. 2009
– Students:Email, etc. provided via Google Apps Educa-tion Edition as of April 2009, plus Microsoft Live@edu with Exchange Labs expected fall 2009
Why?
– Difficult to use with iPhone, BlackBerry, etc.
– Multiple calendar systems make scheduling meetings hard
– Some units already using Exchange, others requesting it
