for you…...no matter ‘who’- YOU are…… Thanks! SMILE, someone Loves you!!!
Hello everybody. I sure hope your feeling good
and enjoying another relaxing day. I been run off
the Beach, by those few storms which had a lot
more lightning than I care we had pop up. Looks
like it may be that way for another week or so. I like the sounds of
the rain as it falls off a metal roof, that special moment in the air
when it is fresh and clean.
I’ve noticed a lot of tension where there usually was a calm peace. But not anymore.
To find time, to act as if the world around you doesn’t concern you is foolish on your
part. Your alive now, what are you here for? I mean as a planet we see so much despera-
tion amongst us. People now traveling at the risks of their LIFE, migrate as a nation in
despair and tragedy.
Do you feel safer here than at your northern homes? We sure hope so, our Law en-
forcement has done a fine job thus far in dealings with any protests, riots or shootings. Or
that right around the corner just waiting for the signal to KILL us for being…..White?
Yes, as if you thought I wouldn’t bring this topic up. It needs to be discussed and dealt
with properly, lives will be taken beyond what has already. I don’t say this to scare you
of those Big City BLM people are coming for destruction. Look at those beaches, do you
see what (they) would consider, um, ‘white priveledge’? Pretty white everything, includ-
ing a 98% majority of white owners, white painted villages, next to the whitest sands
you’ll ever see. ( Unless this sand replentishment sinks well and maintains it’s purity
white sands, Can you imagine? Cutbacks from a slow vacation economy, the troubles for
us it already causes.
I been taking some classes at the College, striving to dive into laws. There are so
many that I found from within this county that overlap time frames in questionable favor.
You know some of you think of a whistle-blower as a bad person. Think of how many
truths came forward from these individuals not liking what they see. How and why is that
held differently in this county? Only The BCC knows…..For 7 years my newspaper was
offered at south Annex. Cop tells me one week , no more? He said BCC made the deci-
sion. I am publicly asking for one of you to send me a letter of your reasoning. Please
forward this to them! It was timely that DFS comes out with a monthly booklet and stack
them all over where I been at for so long. Now they are limiting where my ’FREE EDI-
TION’…..FREEPORT NEWSPAPER. Public place? Please do have someone from the
board contact me on that. FREEDOM SPEECH and EXPRESSION. Did someone say
something or did they read something in this newspaper they did not like? I think, if so,
that it could Code-enforcement was offended for so many people wrote in their com-
plaints and the department didn’t want people to see how screwed up that system is.
However, I do hope they send an official E-mail or letter. I have a couple interested
parties that curious as to what you may reply with? Oh yes, there have been numerous
organizations that have contacted me on certain things. I’m exploring my rights, as I de-
cide when to take and sign the paperwork.
I hired an investigator to gather evidence for the Judge, so there won’t be any loop-
holes in how I go about this. Those of you who have been slanderous towards myself, my
Newspaper and even my Family. Can you believe the Thanks I’m shown for dedicating
8yrs to a Newspaper this City has never had. There was a 5yr period where people used
us regularly, they disappear for they failed to advertise? No one knows that your in the
city well enough to come eat dinner, take a break before the beach. I have to assume that
many of you don’t care to understand these simple facts, keeping your name out in the
public, what? Do you have a commercial on TV I missed? We do have the Best Deal !

Judge Orders Kim Davis Freed from Kentucky
Jail A federal judge ruled Tuesday that a Kentucky clerk who has refused to issue
marriage licenses to same-sex couples may leave jail, but her lawyer says she'll
continue blocking licenses when she returns to work.
Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who refused to issue same-sex marriage
licenses, walked out of jail on Tuesday after the U.S. district court judge who
found her in contempt said he was satisfied licenses were being issued in accor-
dance with a U.S. Supreme Court decision.
U.S. District Judge David Bunning ordered her release after six days in jail, say-
ing she "shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of
her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples."
If she tries to interfere, "that will be considered a violation of this Order and ap-
propriate sanctions will be considered," Bunning said.
Her lawyer, Mathew Staver, as well as Republican presidential hopeful Mike
Huckabee were at Davis' side in front of the Carter County Detention Center,
listening to supporters sing, shout and wave flags.
“Kim is someone who is loyal to God and is loyal to her job and her people. She
plans to be back at work this week,” said Staver.
"Kim Davis cannot and will not violate her conscience," Staver said.
As an Apostolic Christian, Davis says she believes a marriage can only be be-
tween a man and a woman. She has refused to issue any marriage licenses since
the U.S. Supreme Court in June made same-sex marriages legal across the United
States. While she was jailed, the county's deputy clerks issued marriage licenses
to several same-sex couples.
"Federal judges are nothing to be trifled with and that is whether they were ap-
pointed by a Democrat or a Republican," said Ron Johnson, president of the Ken-
tucky Justice Association, an association of trial lawyers.
Bunning grew up in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, as one of nine children born to Jim
and Mary Bunning. While lawyers who have argued cases before him said he
expresses no political opinions in the courtroom, his mother offered a glimpse of
his leaning in an interview with local media.
"David is an honest person," Mary Bunning told Cincinnati.com before the deci-
sion. "He doesn't agree with the Supreme Court but has to obey the law."
Bunning, one of eight judges sitting on the Eastern District bench, was escorted.
Office Issues Citizens Rate Filing Order
. – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Office) has established the 2016 rates
for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (Citizens). The overall estimated statewide
average rate changes are shown in the chart below and includes no rate increases for
sinkhole coverage. The Order sets the rates for Citizens multi-peril and coastal Home-
owners, Dwelling Fire, Mobile Homeowners and Mobile Homeowners Dwelling Fire
accounts.
The Office modified some of Citizens’ recommended rates to address key issues cited
as causes for increasing homeowners’ insurance costs for policyholders in South Florida
and on the coast. These included Citizens’ purchase this year of more private reinsur-
ance (insurance for insurance companies) and pre-event financing (a short-term loan to
recover claims costs payable by the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund). Citizens an-
swered questions and provided further clarification on these issues, as well as, the surge
in water loss trends in three South Florida counties at a public rate hearing on August
25, 2015. The Office’s subsequent findings are described in more detail within the Or-
der.
The effective date for both new and renewal rates within the Personal
Lines Account (PLA) and Coastal Account (CA) is February 1, 2016.
The chart below provides the overall statewide average estimated rate
changes established by the Office for each account individually:
Rate filing decisions for the commercial residential and commercial
non-residential accounts are still pending.
Rate filings can be accessed via the “I-File Forms & Rate
Search” system using the following search criteria in either the “Quick
Search” or “Advanced Search” options: file log numbers or by entering
“Citizens Property Insurance Corporation” as the “company
name”. When the selection appears, scroll to the bottom of the results
page for the most recent filing information.
Visit the Citizens Public Rate Hearing webpage on the Office’s web-
site for additional information.

Luxury is anything that feels special. I mean, it can be a
moment, it can be a walk on the beach, it could be a kiss
from your child, or it could be a beautiful picture frame, a
special fragrance. I think luxury doesn't necessarily have to
mean expensive. Aerin Lauder

Chewing Tobacco Kills More Than
250,000 Yearly
British study is first to assess international impact of smokeless to-
bacco on adults
While cigarette smoking is a known killer, many people don't realize
that smokeless tobacco is linked to more than a quarter of a million
deaths worldwide each year, British researchers report.
The University of York team said its analysis of data from 113 coun-
tries and other sources is the first study to assess the international im-
pact of smokeless tobacco on adults.
"It is possible that these figures are underestimated, and future studies
may reveal that the impact is even bigger. We need a global effort to
try and address and control smokeless tobacco," lead researcher Kam-
ran Siddiqi, a senior lecturer in epidemiology and public health at
York, said in a university news release.
The researchers estimated that in 2010 alone, smokeless tobacco
caused more than 62,000 deaths due to cancers of the mouth, pharynx
and esophagus, and more than 200,000 deaths from heart disease.
India is a particular hotspot, and accounts for 74 percent of smokeless
tobacco-related disease worldwide,
"We have got no international policy on how to regulate the produc-
tion, composition, sale, labeling, packaging and marketing of smoke-
less tobacco products," Siddiqi said.
"The international framework to control tobacco doesn't seem to work
to control smokeless tobacco. It doesn't get the same regulation as
cigarettes.
Russia undeterred after Kerry phone call, continues flights to Syria
Moscow is continuing to send military cargo flights
to Syria despite Secretary of State John Kerry call-
ing his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov over the
weekend to voice "concerns" about the "imminent"
buildup of Russian military forces there.
Multiple U.S. officials who have reviewed the latest
intelligence in Syria told Fox News that the U.S.
military is tracking multiple flights of Russia's larg-
est military cargo plane, the Antonov An-124
Ruslan -- better known by its NATO codename,
"Condor."
This includes one flight Tuesday morning into
Latakia, a Syrian port city along the Mediterranean
Sea controlled by the Assad regime and home to
Russian military forces.
This is the first time in months the U.S. military has
seen flights of the large Russian transport planes,
one official said. The official called this develop-
ment "very troubling."
In a statement released Saturday after Kerry's call
with Foreign Minister Lavrov, the State Department
warned that Russia's continued actions could
"further escalate the conflict" and "risk confronta-
tion with the anti-ISIL Coalition operating in
Syria."
The statement appeared to mark a change in policy
from last week when the Pentagon and State Depart-
ment initially welcomed Russia's increased involve-
ment in Syria.
Teens Using E-Cigarettes to 'Vape' Pot: Survey here's new reason for
parents to be concerned about e-cigarettes: nearly one in five kids who
uses e-cigarettes may be using the devices to get high, a study finds.
And, parents may not always know it's happening.
"Police and parents report difficulty in detecting vaporized cannabis use
because it is easily concealed by the absence of the pungent and character-
istic odor of smoked cannabis," the study authors wrote.
A confidential survey revealed that 18 percent of e-cigarette users in Con-
necticut high schools have "vaped" marijuana at some point, or used an e-
cigarette to get high. In addition, more than one-quarter of kids who de-
scribe themselves as dual users of both e-cigarettes and marijuana have
used the devices get high, the researchers found.
The kids use the e-cigarette devices to burn hash oil or waxy hash "dabs,"
or simply burn dried pot leaves using the heat generated by the battery-
powered devices, How? converting the e-cigarettes for marijuana use.
Dozens of Muslim Men
Raped One 12-Year-
Old Schoolgirl, But
Only Five Have Been
Jailed So Far? The taxi drivers and market trad-
ers had been found guilty in July,
but have now been sentenced for
a range of crimes including rape
of a child under 13 and child pros-
titution.
Although child ‘A’, who had been
12 and 13-years-old when she was
abused told police she had been
raped by at least 60 men, only 11
of the men have faced charges.
The girl and a second, identified
only as child ‘B’ had been given
gifts by the men, including fast
food, drugs, and inexpensive trin-
kets in return for sex and were
passed around.
The plight of the first girl was
only flagged by authorities after
she had given birth twice in two
years and couldn’t identify the
fathers, reports The Guardian.
She had been raped so frequently
– daily – by different men, she
had no way of telling. During his
sentencing, senior judge John
Bevan QC said the race of the girls played a significant
factor in why they had been picked for abuse by the men.
He said that the Asian community looked after their own,
while the native one failed to do so, remarking:
“The combination of inadequate parenting leading to re-
bellious children lacking supervision provided an opportu-
nity. If they pursued Asian underage girls, they would
have paid a heavy price in their community.”
Vikram Singh, 45, drugged the
girls and raped them, and has
been identified as a ringleader.
He was sentenced to 14
years. Asif Hussain, 33, of Mil-
ton Keynes, was convicted of
three counts of rape and jailed
for 13 years. attempted to sell

wanted to steal the car to get to Germany, while others threw
excrement at bystanders.
“Half an hour ago on the border between Italy
and Austria i saw a huge crowd of immigrants.
With all solidarity to people in difficult circum-
stances I have to say that what I saw arouses
horror. This huge mass of people – sorry – but
it’s an absolute wilderness … Vulgar, throwing
bottles, shouting “We want Germany”. So what,
Germany is now a paradise?”
“I saw an elderly Italian woman in a car that was sur-
rounded by the immigrants. They pulled her by the hair
out of the car and wanted to use it to go to Germany. They
tried to topple the bus I was in. They threw feces at us,
banging on the door for the driver to open it, spat on the
glass. My question is- for what purpose? How do they want
to assimilate in Germany? For a moment, i felt like in a
warzone. I really feel sorry for these people, but if they
would reach Poland – I do not think they would receive any
understanding from us.”
Expert Says: “Look who’s going
bankrupt next in America” No one believed Porter Stansberry seven years
ago.
As head of one of America’s largest independ-
ent financial research firms, Mr. Stansberry’s
work back in 2008 led him to a bold, but worri-
some, conclusion:
That the world’s largest mortgage bankers–
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which at the time
were responsible for nearly 50% of all the
mortgages in America–would soon go bank-
rupt.
We all know what happened next.
Both agencies went bust—and if not for a bail-
out from the Federal Government, both would
have declared bankruptcy.
Barron’s—America’s second biggest financial
newspaper—even wrote a story about Mr.
Stansberry’s accurate prediction short, and
called it “remarkably prescient.”
This collapse, says Stansberry, will change
everything about our normal way of life: where
you vacation… where you send your kids or
grandkids to school… how and where you
shop… the way you protect your family and
home.
I strongly encourage you to check out Mr.
Stansberry’s recent write-up on this situation.

Public Notice: Safety First For All
The UF/IFAS Extension Walton County Office in conjunction
with the Florida Department of Health Walton County is hosting
the 3rd annual Safety First For All, safety event, as a way to
recognize National Child Passenger Safety Week and other safety
topics that are important to the health of our community.
September 19, 2015 #SFAWalton
Child safety seats reduce child deaths and injuries, but they can
be difficult to install and are commonly misused. National High-
way Traffic Safety Administration found more than 70 percent of
the children were riding in child safety seats that were being criti-
cally misused — defined as a misuse that could increase the risk
of injury in a crash. The most common types of misuse were
loose safety belts attaching the seat to the vehicle and loose har-
ness straps. (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety)
Every 34 seconds one child under age 13 is involved in a crash.
Many times deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of
car seats, boosters, and seat belts.
In addition to a FREE child passenger seat check point station
there will also be information available on safety related to bicy-
cles, water, fire, electrical, senior driving, finances, and more!
Community partners will have tables/booths with information and
activities.
This event will also showcase StoryWalk Project® featuring
“A Home For Hopper”. #HopWalton
We encourage you to attend and bring the entire family.
Event Date and Time: Saturday, September 19, 2015
9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Event Location:

The Walton County Master Gardeners have recently
landscaped a new Habitat for Humanity home in Free-

was dedicated on August 31, 2015. The Master Gar-
deners thank their community partners for help with
this project. Walmart of DeFuniak Springs provided a

Walton Master Gardeners Intel review backs up finding
that Clinton emails had
‘top secret’ information
A new re-
view by two
intelligence
agencies has
backed up an
earlier con-
clusion that
at least two
emails on Hillary Clinton's personal server
contained "top secret" information.
The review by the Central Intelligence
Agency and the National Geospatial-
Intelligence Agency went back to the origi-
nal source documents, and follows the find-
ing last month by the intelligence commu-
nity inspector general that emails on the
former secretary of state's system contained
information at the highest classification
level. This included intelligence on special
programs about North Korea's nuclear
weapons.
Fox News is told the CIA and NGA did the
review because their intelligence was at
issue. Only the intelligence agency that gets
the information in the first place has the
authority to determine its classification.
In both emails, the State Department did not
generate the intelligence, and therefore did
not have classification authority. The in-
spector general's August report simply
transmitted the classification findings of the
CIA and NGA.
In a statement, Andrea Williams, a spokes-
woman for the intelligence community in-
spector general, said "the overall classifica-
tion of those two emails remains unchanged.
Both emails were classified when they were
created and remain classified now."
And it could cause problems for the Democ-
ratic presidential front-runner as she tries to
shake off and downplay questions about the
private system.
She told the Associated Press in an interview
that "what I did was allowed" and reiterated
that she did not "send or receive" informa-
tion marked classified at the time.
And she again boiled down the debate to a
dispute among agencies.
"There is always a debate among different
agencies about what something should be
retroactively (marked classified)," "But at
the time, there were none. So I'm going to
keep answering the questions and providing
the facts so that people can understand better
what happened."
Clinton gave her server and thumb drive to
the FBI a month ago. Nixon was impeached for much less of
a crime she has committed for sure!

Dear Editor,
I want to Thank you for all you do to help the
senior citizens in this area. Many of us are on
fixed income, and when repairs around our
home is in dire need. I called you to see if you
can help.
I was embarrassed to be living in such condi-
tions, but I have been taken advantage of by
these crack heads who only try to take your
money, then never return to help us.
I saw your facial expression when you saw my
roof leaking down my wall and into my bed-
room.
I’ll never forget what you said to me,” no one
should live in moldy, hard to breathe air”, espe-
cially when I had paid 3 people before you to
come and fix it.
The way you addressed the problem made me
cry. I’m too old for these dope heads to keep
ripping me off. Cause I’m OLD.
But you, Mr. Wolfe. Replaced all the rotted
wood, used your own material to stop the leak-
ing. You even fixed my door so I can sleep
safely at night. I wish I had more money to pay
you. Your heart is in the right place for so
many people don’t care about the people like
you do.
I know I won’t be alive in another year or two.
But, God has a place in Heaven for the good
deeds you do for us less fortunate. You’re a
great Man, doing what you do.
Evelynn Hosier
Hello Ms. Evelynn,
I hope your feeling better too. Sometimes I
may have some odds and ends I keep around
just for in case of situations like yours.
I have been in touch with your church as well
to offer my skills to help the elderly. Those
folks eyes lit up when I told them what I can do
to help them. They gathering lists now.
I hate to “charge” anything but I also have a
family too. God spoke to me, when I thought of
closing the newspaper down, it was the people
like yourself that popped into my mind. I will
not desert you or anyone else whom I can help.
Just as us all, our lives are shorter than we
like. Along with this Newspaper, I intend on
living here till my last days and would hope
that if I couldn’t afford the service fees and
other high costs…...someone could still help
me live clean, dry and safe. Thank you, Frank
It is what it is . . . but what will you DO about it, Freeport? Over the last few months I’ve received numerous calls on my
cell phone informing me that my dog was found on the side of
the road and had been hit. One might at first believe the caller
was a concerned citizen, and an animal lover, trying to reunite
the injured dog with his owner.
The first time this occurred, I had just left my house to run er-
rands, leaving my dogs secured in their indoor kennels. Panic
flooded my brain as I tried to fathom how one of my dogs had
escaped the security of my home. So, I questioned the caller,
asking what did the dog look like and how was my phone num-
ber obtained? The caller replied that they had found my number
on the dog’s tag, but their description of the dog was wrong.
Obviously, it wasn’t either of my dogs. Okay, honest mistake,
maybe. Thanks for calling.
Then, it happened again. This time I was suspicious instead of
frightened. You guessed it, the caller described a breed of dog I
didn’t own. I replied harshly that I don’t own a Yorkie and hung
up.
The next time I got this scam call, my dogs were beside me on
the couch. Click!
What would have happened to me if I had been duped and
agreed to meet any of these callers? Would I have been robbed?
Is this a clever ISIS attempt to kidnap people to hold for hostage,
or a human trafficker looking for fresh bodies or body parts? My
imagination envisioned other equally disturbing scenarios.
In our current culture of non-morality, there is a need to be hyper
-cautious, especially if you are young, a single woman or elderly.
Women especially are vulnerable, as we are taught by society to
be sweet and kind toward everyone. Unfortunately, in this day
and age, with these kinds of threats, being sweet and kind toward
strangers might lead to a dangerous situation, which you might
not return from. Southern women will vanish as the gentile
creatures we have been, and no longer “bless your heart.”
In Walton County, Florida, we have Animal Control and laws,
but they aren’t enforced. Ask anyone who has ever called the
Sheriff about a neighbor’s dog continually being allowed to run
freely, off leash or without the control of the owner, creating a
danger to you or your property. You are on your own to deal
with the problem, if your neighbor is not considerate or responsi-
ble. No amount of evidence is sufficient, so forget taking pic-
tures or videos. Law enforcement will NOT help you and will
tell you they have to see it happening in order to take action.
REALLY?
The people who developed Walton County will tell you that no
one used to get upset about someone trespassing on their land.
Well, those same people sold their land and took our money for
it. We now hold deeds that state we have the right to “quiet en-
joyment” of it. So, no matter if we are natives or transplants, we
have the right to say who or what comes onto our property. If
you didn’t want that “change” then you shouldn’t have taken our
money. Now, we demand protection of our property rights from
invaders, which the Sheriff has consistently refused to do.
Con’t on next column………..
Continued…...More and more, it is becoming
increasingly difficult to get the agencies in our county,
to respond to or address the growing problems that af-
fect all of us and our ability to live here safely and
peacefully. Making neighbors be at war with each.
A beautiful place to visit, but what the “terrorist-
tourists” don’t know is, that’s it is hell to live in. The
tourists are presenting many problems themselves, that
aren’t dealt with by anyone in authority, because of the
fear of losing the revenue and accompanying jobs.
Personally, a bad house guest in my home gets shown
the door and they are NEVER invited back. With so
many visitors, laws need to be enforced!!!
Maybe, we also need a three times strike and you
can’t come back rule? Illegals too, then what?
Just traveling down the obstacle course of Highway 331
is taking your life in your hands, particularly if a tourist
or construction worker doesn’t want to adhere to the 45
M.P.H. posted speed limit and tailgates or illegally
passes you creating a danger for north and southbound
traffic. Where is law enforcement? Maybe we need
citizen patrols on our streets. Is that possible?
Law enforcement in Walton County is hit and miss, and
it seems they are just sitting like intimidating sentinels,
on every corner of our neighborhoods, unable or unwill-
ing to do the difficult job of “protect and serve” ALL of
the citizens. Instead, to this writer, it appears the law-
less are the ones being protected, particularly the law-
less who have influential contacts or deep pockets.
I recently had the pleasure of a long conversation with
the Publisher/Editor of this paper, Mr. Frank Wolfe, Jr.,
and discussed some of the things I’ve written here and
my concerns with the problems in Walton County. It is
my hope, that Mr. Wolfe, with the cooperation of the
Mayor Russ Barley, will begin to support you to discuss
how these problems can be brought to light and solved.
I hope everyone in Walton County will support such an
endeavor, voice yourself, fully participate at these meet-
ings to voice other’s comments and ideas. Call, if you
can’t make it. The red tape is ridiculous, bad surveys!
Together, We the People of Walton County, can make
this a beautiful place to live again.

Firstborn girl? Scientists find an unexpected disadvantage Women who are firstborn children tend to be heavier
than their younger sisters — and it's got nothing to do
with genetics, researchers say.
A new study of more than 26,000 Swedish women found
that firstborns were nearly 30 percent more likely to be
overweight and 40 percent more likely to be obese than
their younger siblings were.
We can't do anything about our birth order, The research-
ers suspect that conditions in a woman's uterus change
after her first baby is born. During a woman's first preg-
nancy, blood vessels to the placenta are narrow, Cutfield
says. "And this information has led to the hypothesis that
firstborns were exposed to in utero compromise, which
reprograms metabolism and the regulation of fat," he
explains. None less the size difference between sisters.

HUNTING SEASON OPENS NEXT MONTH
Hunting with a bow or crossbow is a great way to
get a jump on the gun hunters. Bowhunters are
allowed in the woods a month-and-a-half earlier
and get that first crack at the deer. Plus, during
archery season, you can also take antlerless deer,
which really increases your chances of putting
venison in the freezer.
Maybe that’s why bowhunting continues to be so
popular in Florida, accounting for more than 10
percent of all deer harvested, 15 percent of har-
vested does and 25 percent of the deer taken on
wildlife management areas. Last year, more than
30,000 people bowhunted in Florida.
And along with hunting the rut, early bow sea-
sons provide a great opportunity to take a trophy
whitetail and arguably are among the best times
to do so. In northwest Florida, it’s even better
because bucks are still hangin’ out in their bache-
lor groups.
If you’re stealthy enough and have done your pre
-season homework, you have a good chance of a
nice one coming within shooting range of your
bowhunting setup. In the early season, before the
deer are under as much hunting pressure, they are
more active during daylight hours. When gun
season hits, you might not see that big ’un again
for the rest of the year, except for maybe a picture
of him taken from your trail camera in the middle
of the night.
Archery and crossbow seasons begin on Oct. 24
this year.
Make sure your license and required permits are
up to date. To hunt during archery season, you’ll
need a Florida hunting license and an archery
permit. During crossbow season, you’ll need a
hunting license and crossbow permit. If you’re a
Florida resident, an annual hunting license costs
$17. Nonresidents have the choice of paying
$46.50 for a 10-day license or $151.50 for 12
months. Archery and crossbow permits are $5
each, and all deer hunters must have the $5 deer
permit.
Anyone planning on hunting one of Florida’s
many WMAs must purchase a management
area permit for $26.50.
While you can’t use dogs to hunt deer or tur-
keys, you are allowed to use dogs on a leash to
help you trail any wounded game.
Refugees and Migrants at German
Fairgrounds Arrive to Warm Welcome
— And Pizza
The German government has drawn kudos for opening the nation's
borders to an influx of asylum seekers — but everyday Germans are
also winning hearts through an outpouring of generosity to new arri-
vals.
Refugees and migrants at the Munich Fairgrounds on Tuesday raved
about the warm welcome they had received in Germany after their
long and difficult journeys through Europe.
The nation is expecting to shelter about 800,000 foreigners who are
pouring through its borders this year, many of them escaping Syria's
civil war. The country is planning to take in a half-million migrants
a year for the next several years, officials have said.
This latest group of arrivals was applauded upon entering Germany,
given candy, water and backpacks filled with clothes. Then they
were taken to the fairgrounds where they had shelter and — most
importantly — safety for a good night's sleep.
There was also an overwhelming supply of clothes, gear and toilet-
ries to choose from — and then a final treat — of the Italian variety
.A local Italian joint — Lovely Pizza — had heard about the thou-
sands being housed in the fairgrounds and came to offer some com-
fort food ahead of their journeys.
The staff brought party-size pizzas and pasta — and the donation
was a big hit, especially with the many children present. They put
down their new toys and dug in, sitting on the sidewalk.
"Germany, good!" one of the new arrivals shouted, giving a thumbs
up.One migrant had an etiquette question about eating the food:
Should he use a fork? A volunteer who came to distribute the pies
showed him the best way to enjoy a hot, steaming slice. The timing
was perfect: As the pizza boxes emptied, a bus pulled up. The
migrants and refugees finished their snacks, hauled their bags.
Being a Sports Family

It is the time of year when people paint their faces
different colors, dress-up in crazy costumes, and
follow superstitious rituals…I’m not talking about
Halloween, I’m talking about fall sports season! If
you want your child to come out of their youth
sports experience a winner, then you have to set the
example. You are a vital and important part of the
coach-athlete-parent team. If you do your job cor-
rectly and play your position well, then your child
will learn the sport faster, perform better, really have
fun and have his/her self-esteem enhanced as a re-
sult. Sports experiences serve as a positive model for
your child as they face other challenges and obsta-
cles throughout life. Your son/daughter and their
coach need you ON the team but in a supportive
role. Here are thirteen recommended steps to help
your child’s success on and off the field.
